Why so much Wii hatin'?

the Wii has heaps of great games and even the online is 'meh' its really fun and to anyone who says 'wii is only kids games' well -

When I was little I didn't care if a game was for a kid or for an adult, I would just get the game anyway :P

Most (not all) of the games you listed are geared towards a younger audience. Most posters here are in the 16-32 age range.

- Because people think that nintendo deserted them (the 'hardcore' audience), and have opted for the casual. CAn you blame nintendo afer the gamecube's awesome success thanks to them sticking to the 'hardcore'. Even though we still got all the top franchises and some good quality titles. Also, WAGGLE CONTROLS.

- Because some people see them as 'immature' and 'kiddy' when they dont realise that in doing so they are being immature and kiddy.

- The wii has awesome power and graphics, like really, didn't you see the conduit, OMG 360 GRAFIX.

There is two kind of "haters" on the Wii.

1: The fanboy that hates it no matter what.

2: The person that don't really hate it but are dissapointed with it. Nintendo is the one that makes the money this gen yet they don't improve on their games or uses their money to anything good. Every NPD a ton of sheep claims it's the best console ever yet when it comes to games it's the same old "Well the GC didn't have good third party support so why are expecting more from the Wii?". The reason there is so much Wii hate is because the Wii fans are hyping it up to be the best console ever and point to the sales. The thing is it has the sales for a winner but not the games for one.

That I doubt. I will admit that the 360 and PS3 have more high scoring titles, but not that many.

Well basically what you listed. That's it. Those are all the half decent games released AND comming up in 2009/ 2010. You even put in dead rising, which is probably the most gimped port in human history, why would you only own a Wii is the question that most dames the console, its almost unviable as an only purchase for anyone who has more than a passing interest in quality games. thegoldenpoo

For the first time in history, EVER, the highest selling console is not leading in AAA's and AA's.

Not only is the Wii not leading, it is in dead last place.

That's why it gets so much grief, it's library quality.

The same thing would've happened to the PS2, too, if it had less AAA's and AA's than either the original XBox or the GC. I mean, that list you made doesn't even compare to the other two consoles, and the Wii has around double the sales than either of them. So, there's your answer - it's not exactly a mystery.

Honestly, because the people hating it are nerds who play only shooters and rpgs. They say there are no hardcore games when at the least when looking you can find 40 that are good to amazing hardcore games, that are exclusive to the other 2 systems.

On GS, IGN, 1up, GR, Metacritic, and every other major game review site the Wii is last in AA's and AAA's. This is the first time that has happened, you can ignore this fact but that doesn't change the fact that it is reality.I'm glad you prefer a certain types of games, as if that wasn't obvious and true with every person, but there's a reason we use critics scores to guage overall library quality - otherwise everyone would just say "Only sales matter, and as far as quality goes I consider every game on Platform X to be better than Platform Y." Great.

The Wii's library is just lackluster when compared to the competition, that is why it gets ragged on or just mostly ignored altogether.

And, like I said, imagine if the PS2 had less AA's AAA's than either the GC or XBox. The same thing would've happened with that console, it would've got lots of flack for it. The PS2 is remembered so fondly for the vast number of AAA and AA titles. If it had sold as much as it did but had the fewest great games it would not be remembered well.

i dont see any reason in this world you can say wii has no games,

heck even if you own only 15 games, it has it,

and you said others have more good games well no , just no they are all fpses,

no multiplayer split screen in most of them , which is why im stuck playing guitar hero or pd0 or cod ,, , nothing else interist me that has it,

out of the 83 games i have for 360 only 7 games-10 are split screen thats pretty sad
