Why Sony doesnt put Cell pHone Capabiliti on their Psp?

Honestly, if PSP Vita was a cellphone then it will sell more, so why Sony doesn't do make it like a cellphone? Sony has the tech research etc.... Even Sony said that Mobile devices are taking a big piece of the cake from their PSP Market, so why not fix teh problem and make it a cellphone? They waste money on PSP go, PSP 3000 nd PSP XPERIA, Discuss.....

i know their history, with Nintendo 64 and they got into a battle, but times have changed, remember USA and Japan in WWII and look at them now. I think Nintendo Will work with Sony, if PSP Vita flops, Sony is gonna approach Nintendo.

ahhahaha nice sig to mfdoom but first of all yea too low level to make a topic and second of all why wouldn't they be able to collaborate..? I mean they aren't little kids or anything I'm sure they can work out the issues

Well Vita already got cellcular modem that technicly can do calls and aspecially SMS, all it needs is software. Makeing call might be not very confy on vita but SMS would be cool and if they been smarter they could attach SMS factionality to the games

They released a "PSP phone", the Xperia Play and made some kind of gaming app called Playstation Suite that was available for Playstation Certified devices. It was announced and they showed a weird ad during the Superbowl last year this month and released the next month. Since then, I think it hasn't really made an impact. I think I would I rather have better phone devices that could play Playstation games.
