Why Sony Will Win.

-The price will go down, most people only bought a ps2 when the price went down, me included, they don´t need to sell 20m in their first year.

-The PS3 is a great piece of hardware, for games and multimedia functions and I don´t care if you only want to play games, it´s important for a console to do more then that, it will affect sales.

-Fanbase, the playstation brand breathes gaming, even for casuals, especially out of america. 

-First Party games, as we know thrid party exclusives are disapearing, and is anyone here actually going to tell me MS makes better first party games? Sony has countless proven franchises, just the name of some of them will get millions to get a PS3.

-Variety, if you can´t at least admit the PS3 has more variety in games I won´t have a discussion with you, you can say you prefer xbox games fine, but that´s not what I´m talking about.

When I do I think sony will start to really get things going, probably not for another year, year and a half, but rest assured they will, with a price cut of at least 100$ and some of their better known games out along with the new ip´s that are looking really good, and home, you may not like it but it´s pretty cool for free online, sony will dominate again.

Isn´t it common knowledge that consoels get price drops throughout their lifespans? Ppl are freaking out when they see the 600$ price tag, that isn´t a console spec, it´s bussiness and it will go down. 

Sony doesn't own that many franchises.

Final Fantasy is not owned by sony.

:3 Most people bought the Wii at opening and are still buying them.

The when the gamecubes price dropped, it was already too late to affect the tide in any major way.

Well about hte wii I sort of ignored it in this thread sorry sheep, it´s just not what I want in a gaming console. The main FF games are still ps3 exclusives so it doesn´t really matter, and does has killer first party games, this is fact not opinion.

What I`m saying is system wars cares about who wins the gaming gen, it´s relevant, it´s the whole point of this board, if people knew who was going to come out on top it would help a lot pf ppl decide which console to get, so your question "who cares?" comes on as sort of strange. I´m a cow not a fanboy, I can´t afford all 3 consoles so I have to pick.

What I`m saying is system wars cares about who wins the gaming gen, it´s relevant, it´s the whole point of this board, if people knew who was going to come out on top it would help a lot pf ppl decide which console to get, so your question "who cares?" comes on as sort of strange. I´m a cow not a fanboy, I can´t afford all 3 consoles so I have to pick.

There's no way Sony makes wins this generation unless it drops the price by at least 150 dollars within the next couple of months. As of right now, I don't see it even coming in second place.

They are already losing money as it is, they aren't going to drop the price anytime soon. Unless they want to lose even MORE money. Which would put them so far into the red.

The pc and 360 already do that as it is. 360 does it amazingly well, tv shows, movies, game demos, connect to your pc and stream music, movies, tv shows,  all with ease. 360 has already perfected it.  And the ps3 doesn't have any games to show off the hardware. People are getting tired of waiting.

Okay, MS is making better first party games. MS game studios is coming out with a lot of good games for 360 and PC. Get millions to get a ps3? you're dreaming, the only game that could push ps3's is MGS4 it's the only reason I'd get a ps3. Good luck with that theory though buddy.

360 will be getting a price cut this November on it's second birthday. It will be perfect because halo 3 and GTA IV and other AAA worthy games will be coming out at that time. 360 has the best online service, you pay for quality. Home...all hype.

Sony won last generation cause they had a very good console and I would say the PS2 was amazing with such games like Pro Evolution Soccer, Ratchet and Clank, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy and GTA. Nintendo didn't really have a good console the Gamecube and Microsoft were newcomers in the console battle.  The PS3 will have a price drop it's not gonna win with a price drop. It will remain the same and will continue to sell less than the Wii and XBox360.

Hahaha, never go into business kid. If you looked at their sales charts you'd see that they are losing so much money for every console they sell. They can NOT drop the price anytime soon they will go into so much debt  sony as a whole will cut SE.
