Why the PS3 is garbage

ooOh I can feel the PS3 fanboys clicking into this with fire in their eyes! But this isn't an attempt to troll or argue, it's about FACTS as to the reason why the PS3 is complete and utter garbage.

Now I have been manticore for over 4 years now and was never really biased towards any of the consoles. I just enjoyed gaming and the exclusives that came to each console that are all good in their own right. I believe that I have had enough play testing experience with each console to enable me to make such a statement that which goes beyond the hardware and software but all the way to the people behind it. So here goes.

Believe it or not cows, the Xbox and Wii have had more better exclusives than the PS3. If all the games disappeared from PS3 in exsistence the only ones I would miss would be the Uncharted Series, other than that it's all very much forgettable. (I'm talking just about exclusives not multi-format) Anyone that says this is wrong are well.. simply delusional. :P

M$ came up with Kinect, which IMO was an attempt to re-take some of the market share that Nintendo took with the Wii and again IMO they done a much better job. PS3 on the other hand tried to follow suit with playstation move or as I like to call it the "ET finger", which is crap. I've played and own games on it and it is just horrible, cheap, and nasty.

The Wii and Xbox controllers are solid and durable, the batteries last a decent amount of time and when you spend your money on extra controllers it feels like money well spent. They are comfortable to hold and they feel innovative in design. The PS3 controller is a 3rd gen reject that feels cheap to the touch, having the left analogue stick not parallel to the buttons is and has always been off putting and the battery life is short.

The menus on Wii and Xbox are user frindly and sleek in design. The PS3 isn't too bad cause I'm used to it but to a new user it is very off putting.

Xbox live may be chargeable but the online options from partys and beacons to free films and music on crackle and muztv makes it worth the fee. The online is so much more user friendly and most importantly has a much much better community.

The developers of the PS3 must sit at their computers scanning the web waiting for the rival companies to reveal their ideas. They have the imagination of an empty can of coke. At least if your an owner of a Wii or Xbox you know you going to get something new and special down the line. The exclusives to the PS3 are few and far between and most are not worth the mention, and rightly so. Why would any sane developer want to make their game a PS3 exclusive when most of the market share would be sold through the Xbox and Wii consumer market. Even the developers of Joe Danger moved the game over to Xbox cause they realised it was a mistake to have it just as a PS3 exclusive.

There is more I can go into but I'm saving it, I'm sure I'm going to need ammunition for posting this but I just couldn't take it anymore. Reading these threads on SW just makes my eyes bleed so I'm making these points to end this war. Xbox and Wii are the best consoles of this Gen. PS3 and its Cows have had a taste of the top spot in the past which is whats makes it so hard for them to admit its over but ......I'm sorry cows that time is upon you! :P

Lol, well i'm pretty sure I nailed it. It really was a tl;dr.

You forgot one thing and my biggest problem with it. Mandatory installs, constant system updates, and SLOW a$$ download speeds. Why do I have to wait 25 minutes to download a game and then wait another 5 minutes (or more) to install it? Why do I have to install a game period? Oh because of the $hit Blu-ray drive. And God forbid there is a system or game update. Christ, it will be an hour before you play the f##king thing.

That ALONE makes the PS3 garbage for gaming.

Everything else is right on the money. Prepare for a lock, the moo-moos will be enraged and spam mods so hard that they have to lock the thread.

I'm also not saying I hate the PS3 I'm stating that in comparison to the other two it is garbage. A fake, fraud, and copycat console.

i believe in giving credit where it is due and pulling the ps3 out of the trash heap was a monumental accomplishment from where it was from 2006 to 2009.

Totally agree with your comments. (I was saving that one :P ) It doesn't really annoy me though if i'm honest i'm quite patient, lol. But, in comparrison it does yet again create another negative towards the PS3 over the others.

I doubt the mods will lock this as it clearly states in the SW T&C's to slate all you want but don't be rude and use fact, which I have done. :)

I think you missed the point entirely. I just named ONE feature the PS3 still doesn't have in 2012. Again, everyone ignores my legitimate complaint with the PS3 and PSN. Mandatory installs and $hit download speeds. I mean just pure crap. 30 minutes to play a demo is f##king unacceptable and it's been like that since 2006. I still haven't played Infamous yet because I can't be bothered with the hassle.

What's lame is defending a system that needs to be put out of it's misery. It's good for one freakin thing and that is Blu-ray/DVD playback. Great upscaling for DVD and fast as hell for the $hit Java based crud used for Blu-ray menus which are dog $hit slow on stand alones to this day.

I see your points TC, and I agree the PS3 is not anywhere near as good as the 360. The Wii? Well that's debatable, I have owned all 3 consoles at one time, and the 360 is easily the best.

netflix is better on it and i always use my ps3 for that and hulu, it stores all my pics and videos since i have the non gimped og launch one with card slots that match my cameras, i watch 3d movies on it and i play the exclusives on it.

I admit I haven't used Netflix on the PS3. What do you like better? As far as pics and stuff like that, 360 and PC are on the same network so it doesn't get much easier.
