Why the PS4 will have a higher pricetag

Recent track records show that their console starts off very very poorly with worse looking games or games on par. It's only recently we've seen really good looking sony games.

They wont charge more straight out, I figure that they will find cheap ways to screw people out of more money like the Vita with its memory cards

here is also why the xbox720 will be more expensive then xbox360 and wii u

1-nintendo is always the cheapest option by history

2 sony has been the most expensive lately so the 720 should launch around 400-450 the 4 will launch around 600 like usual , and why these would be bad moves by sony

1- no one paid for ps3s at launch their going to probably end up losing again but catching ms in the long run after a price drop or two cause lets face it , xbox360 is still the launch price basically , with certain bundles and only 100 dolllars cheaper and its been out 6 yrs , thats not what normal consoles do ,

by this time last gen the ps2 xbox where at least 149,99 vs their 300 dollar price tags , then they dropped to 129,99 ps2 and gc ended up being 99 by the end of the gen where xbox was 119.99

this gen how ever no console outside wii and the xbox 4 gig version are below 200 and only wii is below 160

Sony does tend to overprice their products a bit, however their products are always of high quality and reliable. Sony said their strategy with PS4 is they don't care about being 1st out the gate, they only care about having the most powerful system with the best games.

This is actually a pretty solid strategy, the PS3 will keep getting constant support like it does now with great 1st party until Sony launches PS4 later then the 720 and Wii U. The PS4 then overshadows the other systems with it's power, being capable of doing games and graphics that no other system can do.

I don't think Sony is going to do a $600 price tag again though, which was the only reason people went with 360 in the first place. I can bet you that if the launch PS3 was around the same price as the 360, the lems would have went with it instead.

People only got a 360 because they couldn't afford a PS3, or their parents couldn't afford one. Most Lems had a PS2 last gen.

That is a matter of opinion. I think the PS3 is the best system this gen. PS2 though may arguabely be the best system of all time, it's library is so vast that if you were stuck on a desert island the PS2 would have more than enough to keep you busy for a LONG time.
