Why Wii?

I find it utterly rediculous how well the Wii has been selling, considering that the games are all horrible. Let's break down the most popular ones.

Warioware - mini-game collection

Twilight Princess - boring rehash of a game that sucked to begin with

Rayman Raving Rabids - one look at a few screenshots is enough to show why the game has no merit.

Red Steel - do I even need to explain?

Super Paper Mario - like in the case of Twilight Princess, boring rehash of a game that sucked to begin with.

Sonic - that franchise needs to die. I played the 360 version, and I fail to see how an inferior Wii version could be any better.

Wii Sports - embodiment of the word GIMMICK

As for the upcoming games? No better.

Super Mario Galaxy - See SPM and TP for the same answer.

Metroid Prime 3 - Good to know that the series is going the way of Hunters. Can't really blame them, as the first two stunk.

Nights - please hype a game that's actually relevant

No More Heroes - from the company that makes crap like Killer7? Nuh-uh

Sadness - hyping vaporware. Shows how desperate the Sheep are.

The only promising game is Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

There is no online.

There isn't even a dvd player.

The only other thing is the Virtual Console. Yeah, I'll pay ten bucks for a crappy twenty year-old game. On second thought, I'll pass.

And the graphics? $250 for sub-GC?

You're planning on spending this generation playing with THESE? Come on. And think of all the great games you're missing. Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, GTA4, Halo 3, Kane and Lynch, Gears of War, Unreal Tournament 3. Wii? More like "Why?"

Most of the 'great games Wii-owners are missing out on' aren't even out yet, so you're really not in a position to tell them what they ARE missing. Metroid Prime 3 is said to look better then games like Halo 2. I would go on, but you probably won't listen since you hate the series. Metroid Prime(1) is truly one of the best games last gen.

Pokemon and Mario Strikers has online, but I bet you know that.

From that screenshot, I can see at least 29 things about this game that make it massivly diffrent from a mario platformer.

Oh, and do please try to stop using the world made of pixels as an example of their art

Nintendo Fanboys are pathetic imo. The TC may be a bit harsh in his wording but I would have to agree with most of what he says. I am not biased other than I love Videogames. What the sheep seem to overlook or just don't care about is this bad precedent that the success of the Wii sends to the industry. Don't bother slaving for years to make the best game you can, so that it will be popular and sell lots of copies, just make a handheld game for the Wii, save on development costs, and sell it to all the non-gamers that bought the Wii cause they don't know what gaming is really about.

That brings me to another point and what may be the true gamers salvation. You sheep can talk about consoles sold all you want-all day long 24/7 but you don't seem to understand that for the Wii and right now even the PS3 it doesn't matter how much they sell if they don't sell alot of games. If casuals are the main driving force buying up Wii's like I hear everyone always say IE: "the Wii sells to old people, girls that don't normally game and casuals" than how great do you think the software attachment rate will be? I would venture to guess that its software tie in ratio for third parties is terrible, and you can remember and think about that fact when you are gloating over hardware sales and how much better third party support that will bring.

So I got the jist of it right? Fantastic, it's clearly another sunday of ignorant haters out to play.

]Warioware:  Mini-game collection, yes.  But it is a fun game.

Twilight Princess:  I'll admit that it does feel a bit too much like Ocarina of Time, but Ocarina did not suck to begin with.  I think a perfect 10 and being the highest rated game on GameRankings disprove that.

Rayman:  This game is actually fun.  And while the graphics aren't much, the sound and art style are hilarious (in a good way.)

Red Steel:  Um, yeah.  This game does suck.

Super Paper Mario:  Rehashed?  This game isn't like the other Paper Marios, or the Super Mario Bros. games.  It added RPG elements to the platforming, and the whole 2-D to 3-D thing.  You show me one Mario game that was a platformer/RPG (don't show me an RPG/platformer, because that's something totally different.)

Sonic: First, this game scored 3.2 points higher than the 360 one, and they are different games.  This one is worth some time.  And what you basically said was "sorry, I didn't play it so my opinion on this game is not valid."

Wii Sports: It was insanely fun, but it got old fast.  I used to play it everyday.  Saying "oh teh GIMMICK" is not a valid arguement.

Super Mario Galaxy:  This game is adding some new stuff.  Some gravity elements, Wii remote elements, etc.  And if you're so keen to bash rehashes, why are you in love with Halo 2, which changed very little from Halo 1?  Hypocrisy at its finest.

Metroid Prime 3:  The first two scored AAA.  The first was one of the highest-scoring games of last generation AND made the top ten list on GameRankings.  And how is this going the way of Hunters?  Hunters was more multiplayer-focused and repetitive; I see no signs of that from the trailers.

NiGHTS: Also not a valid arguement.  The original is a classic.

No More Heroes:  Opinion.

Sadness: I'm not familiar with this game, so I can't say.

No online: It's coming, the first one being Pokemon Battle Revolution.

No DVD Player:  Most human beings already own DVD players.

Virtual Console:  Not all of them cost $10.  And if you think these games are crappy because they're old and judging by your name being Halo3Expert, you probably started gaming with the Xbox.

Screenshots:  You're very selective about the screenshots you pick, aren't you?

Multiplats:  I'll give you this one.  But Nintendo's strength has been its first party games, not the multiplatform ones.  Besides, after seeing what happened to the multiplats that came to the Wii near launch, I'd have to say this might actually be a good thing.

The software sales exactly are much better than that...

Ray Man and Red Steel were close to million sellers (probably there by now) and Sonic usually finds its place in the weekly numbers. Unfortunately, Spider Man 3 is selling as well...

I have to say though, I disagree with the Wii being a turning point in developers' efforts towards video games. I don't think that the Wii's success will change a thing, and if so, only a very small amount.
