i mean sure fighting each other is fun, but they could do so much more. like Super Smash Party, or Super Smash Cart, instead we are just stuck with lame mario characters for party and cart. plus everyone knows it would sell, and if the got their online stuff in order, think of all the downloadable characters they could have and new maps.

no, like i said your stuck with lame mario characters for those games, what about link and samus in mario party, it would be way better. or in mario cart you could expand the places you drive like have a track in Hyrule Fields.

Are you completely insane! Yes lets encourage nintendo to milk a franchise again. how about they make new games instead of rehashing old ideas! YOU FAIL!
For a fighting game,it's fine to have a variety of characters from Nintendo franchises,but in a party game or kart racing game...I don't think it would work so well.I can't imagine Link riding a kart,or play Ganondorf in a Mario Party-esque game.It just wouldn't seem right.

Right, Smash Bros is an extension of the could X character beat Y in a fight? Ie who would win in a fight between Samus and Link? No-one ever asks who would be better at carrying a stack of plates (my guess at a Mario Party mini-game as I've never played one) or who is better at driving a gokart around a track, Samus or Link?
That's one of the most ridiculous things I ever heard. Super smash was made to be a fighting game, nothing else. It would be idiot to think about puting it somewhere else. And anyway, why would somebody want Samus in a kart game? Its not called MARIO kart for nothing.
Not as stupid as I thought. And I believe another company was doing cart races that made use of all their mascots instead of those within a single franchise. Konami did it on the NES or Playstation, I don't remember.
Why would they make 'super smash party' or 'super smash cart' when they have mario party 8 and mario kart? Why waste more money on producing these games if you already have IP's that are similar? Not to mention that nintendo has already expanded the single player in brawl to a full fledged 2D side scroller.
