Why wont Sony reveal the PS3 only PSN numbers?

They revealed 17 million PSN accounts. But what some may not realize is that it is between the PS3 and PSP. I am very interested to see how many are PS3 only.

What difference does it make? The point of releasing online numbers is just to brag how popular your online setup is. It makes no difference if they are accessing the PSN from a PS3 or PSP. It is the same store.

I think the bigger question is why is Sony releasing tons of percentages and then real numbers for PSN, but no real sales numbers yet. That is the more revealing question, if you ask me.

M$ counts PC Live, Zune, Silver and Gold when counting Live memberships.

Did your brother top out at 4 accounts? Halo was a big reason why many made multiple accounts, I'm just curious how far he went. My brother made only 3, but including himself, he had a nice 4 player situation for a month.

Funny how people immediately jump on the bu bu bu but what about XBL...We are talking about Sony and its entire "Playstation Family" BS campaign its chose to hype this gen. Instead of staying on task discussing the topic, people want to deter the discussion towards something else. If you want to gripe about the 360, XBL and all things related to MS, make a topic about it. The reason Sony is in its current dillusional state with the PS3 is because of its goofy fanbase. Instead of actually talking about the issues at hand, you rather turn a blind eye and bicker about the competition, which gives Sony the impression that everythang is "A OK" in Sonyland.

So with the issue of not revealing actual PS3 numbers related to PSN it gives the false impression that the gaming network is heavily populated and comparable to the competition. As the attentive gamers everyone pretends to be, the actual impact of your console of choice might be of importance to you...or you could play blind fanboy and assume the world revolves around your entertainment center.
