[QUOTE="donalbane"]Many 'Core' gamers want to have the means to access every piece of software available. There are games that are Kinect only, hence, some 'Core' gamers will want the Kinect. I certainly fall into that camp. That Star wars game just might be incredible.rawr89
except it doesnt have a release date, or a gameplay footage, at the very least. they just threw it in to say 'Kinect is also for Core gamers!'. without it, what does Kinect have left to entice core gamers? nothing.
oh, and to the fanboys there saying that the voice recognition is a selling point, seriously. i didnt know people are so rich that they'd spend $150 just to not use buttons.
at least the Move showed Sorcery, and we already know that Socom 4 and Killzone 3 will support Move. why buy a peripheral out of excitement for something not even shown, or confirmed? i dont get it. that's like saying last year, "I will buy Natal because it can scan my skateboard and i can skate in a virtual world!" and a year later, that scanning feature was nowhere. huh.
Considering your tone, you have some pretty big balls calling people 'fanboys'. And regarding Star Wars' launch, since when do you need a launch date to be excited about a game? Not to mention the fact that, in addition to Child of Eden and Forza, other Core games (Fable 3, and according to Konami, possibly MGS Rising) will utilize Kinect in some way or another. That's fine by me initially. And when I read interviews from the Doctors from Bioware how they invision the peripheral will be incorporated, my mind does the happy dance. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I don't see where all the hate comes from.
