Why would Konami NOT make a 360 version of MGS4?

Seriously, i dont understand why people say this a bad idea (or even inconceivable)

• The PS3 is the biggest failure of our time and is trailing behind the 360/Wii
• Software sales are a joke
• Konami is a business and as such wants to make money
• The 360 has comparable specifications to the PS3
• MGS is a title that primarilty appeals to western consumers (territories where the 360 is more successful)

Maybe they don't like M$ or the do not want to remake the game for the 360.adastos

Businesses are not about "not wanting" to do something. They are about making money. They would make lots of money by porting MGS4 to 360... which is precisely why I'm wondering why they aren't.

Thats a lie.

Konami could very well port it to the 360, Sony wouldnt be too happy about that though.

For now MGS4 is exclusive to the PS3 and it's gonna stay that way until Konami says otherwise.

That's not necessarily true. Remember the Xbox version of MGS2? It was a complete failure. Konami tried it already and it didn't work. They won't make the mistake of doing it again. There are also more financial issues involved with porting MGS4 to the 360. First of all, you do you have pay people to port a game to a different console. Additionally, it would almost certainly require multiple discs--that drastically cuts into profits as well. There won't be a 360 version.

what happened to the xbox ver of mgs2? if it was bad sales then that point is kinda void since the ps3 dose have less consoles out there. OR is the American market haters of mgs? that would make more sense as its the place 360 breeds lol

You do know that the PS3 sold more worldwide than the 360 this month. Or are you one of those fanboys who only see certain facts and dissmiss the ones they don't want to see? The PS3 did bad initially, the 360 also had many problems initially.

If I recall Capcom was doing not so well financially leading to them going fully multiplat. Do you remember Capcom's other famously clever moves like moving RE exclusivly to the console with the smallest fanbase for its game as opposed to keeping it on the system that they made the most money off of.

I'm sure the 360 can handle MGS4, and i think there is the possibility that it will be ported, but only after the ps3 version has been out for a while.

how a bout only like 15K sold for Xbox version OF MGS2 but PS2 version selling 8 million... plus anyone played MGS2 on Xbox knows how hard it is to play. The Gameboy colour Metal Gear Game sold,so did Metal Gear one and Metal Gear 2,Famicom(Nintendo entertainment system) and MSX(Home Pc xD). The Gamecube remake sold!!! cant think of anything else xD

they're spending so much on developing this that they'll probably have to, unless sales are amazing, which i don't expect on the PS3 the way it's going

plus, with all these rumours about a 360 port, i expect quite a few gamers (inc me) to wait and see if it does get ported, rather than getting it at launch

if after a few years it's still not coming, i'll just get a cheap PS3 for it, when it'll hopefully have a few other great games like GOW3 to justify it

first off...mgs in the states is just as big as mgs in japan..now if u make it for the 360 who in japan would buy it...

the 100,000 360 owners over there..no...

secondly lemmings bash this game on how ugly it looks and how its nothing different then mgs3 and now u want this game?

really i doubt it will become multi plat any time soon..maybe a year or two later they will decide to port it..but i just dont see it happening..even the japanese will buy a ps3 just to get this game

Why is it that lemmings are the only ones that still think its coming to the crapbox, unless someone from Konami says its being ported its still exclusive.

To add to ur points:

- the PS3 is at 6 million sales worldwide in one year, thats almost half of the xbox180. This is also with a high price tag, two other competitors and none of Sony's biggest games have been released yet.

- there is a consol that is a failure and thats the 360, i guess lemmings forgot that ms predicted that they would sell 10 million consols by the time the wii and the PS3 were released, it didn't LOL

-the 360's biggest franchise has been released and sales of the 360 barely went up. When Sony's biggest games come out what makes you think that the sales will go down, the only sales that went down is the 360.

MGS1 is what made the whole series popular on PS1

MGS4 will end its legacy on the PS3
