Perhaps I cant grasp how a game doing badly helps the gaming industry. Fanboyism isnt really an excuse for wanting someone or thing to do badly, thats like saying you only root for the Patriots and want every other team too lose, well that certainly isnt good for the NFL is it.

They don't own the system with the game on it, so they want it to flop to make themselves feel like their not missing out.

i don't bear negative feelings for any game

but i loved mgs4, and i love the mgs series i knew i was going to buy it day one regardless of reviews

but it would've been hilarious to see the people who invest too much of their lives in the gaming sites like these, hyping things to kingdom come, its just funny to see people squirm

its like seeing someone get hit by a car, its kinda funny in a sick way

ok, maybe thats just me

but if mgs4 had gotten a 5 i'd think it was the funniest thing on earth when ps3 fanboys flipped out even though i loved the game

i don't need critical acclaim or public opinion to justify my gaming likes

they want the game to flop because they don't care about the game and hope that it does bad.

I think being critical of games is better than over-rating them.

Its the life-force of SW. No real gamer actually wants a game to flop or takes any value in a single review.

If you are head of a company who is releasing a competing game around the same time as another game, you would want the competitors game to flop so as to hopefully reduce its sales whilst boosting your games sales.

the only reason I want games to flop is to see enemy fanboys react. I love it. As long as its not on my system of choice, it's all good. Also, I want the AAA game count of my system of choice to surpass the enemy console.

I seriously doubt that these little SW games have any effect on any game sales what so ever.

The enemy console? Good lord you people are so far entrenched thinking that this is a war thats its sad. Also, why does someone who is sad because their game didnt do well give you joy? I wasnt aware sorrow was funny. (However the guy with the hit by a car analogy wins this thread lo:D)

Fanboy sorrow is hilarious. I want TEARS from enemy fanboys when a game flops. On the flip side, I have almost cried when PS3 games flopped, too. It goes both ways in the war.

Because there is a shortage of flip-flops in America, and the economy is doing no good either. We need more flip-flops.

I don't so much want games to flop, I just want games to be acknowledged for what they are,and sell for what they are worth. So when games like Halo (most overrated game in history) sells a bajillion copies, I get a bit upset knowing that games like the original DOOM are more fun.

You take this "War" too seriously. Put your "Principles" to better use.

For the laughs, meltdowns, bickering, crying, screaming, cheering, partying, sighs of relief, frustration, payback, childishness, and camaraderie?

Exactly, thats why it was so funny when wii music got a 9, before IGN leveled it out.
