The oudside world love it and lots of them are converted to hardcore gamers by this. Nintendo is doing this so when their next console releases with HD and everything, all those consumers are on their sides.

They fear that it will change the industry, by encouraging weaker systems. They fail, however, to see that this is untrue, due to the fact that Nintendo has always had the strong systems, and that they have promised HD on their next gen systems.

no...I hate it because the graphics are weak and I don't like the wiimote and the games are not for me ( zelda, mario, SSB and so on ) and yes I have played.

There is hardly a game drought for it...... SSX Blur and Sonic just came out and we've got Eledees and Super Paper Mario to look forward to in April.....

Actually no, i hate the wii because of the fanboys, that seem to think that even jesus couldn't have built a better console. in general, i don't think there is anything revolutionary about the wii, and thats why i'll be getting a ps3.

I think that the Wii is designed for a shorter lifespan, 3-4 years, so in 2009 when HD has penetrated more households, they will reveal a new machine with HD capabilities. My prediction, Ninty drops IBM and AMD/ATI help develop the GPU/CPU combination.

The Wii is only $250, compared to the prices of the other consoles, a shorter lifespan is not a problem.

I definetly wouldn't say I hate the wii at all, however I haven't bought one yet because the only non VC game I'd want for it is Zelda, and I've beaten it already on Gamecube. By the end of 2007 though there will be 5 pretty much guaranteed great games out (Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Super Paper Mario, Fire Emblem, Super Smash Bros.) and a few other interesting titles such as No More Heroes, so once those games start getting out of the gate I'll probably purchase one.

I think your right if you look at Nintendo history they come out with so many upgrades for their handhelds. I think they may be trying to do that with their consoles also.

I'm not sure that they will be able to develop another system within that time period. It will probably just have to sweat it out through the last few years. Fortunately, it will probably sell well enough early on for it to do really well.

If you hate any game console you're a loser.

There are better things to hate.... things that aren't inanimate boxes of plastic and metal.

If you don't like the Wii, don't buy it. Someone who sits around hating a toy they do not own and never plan on buying needs to reevaluate how he spends his time.
