Actually the Wii is at about 60% of the 360's installed base. Microsoft announced 10 million units several weeks ago but that was shipped, it should be about 10 million units sold about right now. The Wii is probably right around 6 million units sold right now.Zerostatic0Yeah 0by next march i'm saying 15 million is an easy number to predict i wouldn't doubt 20 million since 2 exra months Xmas etc etc. Funny the Gamecube soild 22mil and the will will probaly reach half that before 1 whole years passes amazing job Nintendo.
360 wich has been out 1 year and 4 months(roughly) has only sold Double wha the Wii' has in 5 months..... if the Wii can sell 5 million Units every 5 Months(wich demand is still there i still havn't found one). then when Wii hits March of next year they might be at 15 Million.. Even if it's a FAd SSBB and SMG will make it a fad for this Whole year. So the Questions is lemming and Cows do you really wanna throw rocks in a crackhouse.peacebringer
Throw rocks in a crackhouse? You mean glass house?
   Anyway, speculations are useless.Â

That's an interesting point, and a mark of it's success. I never really thought of that. This thread is full of new concepts.
There is no proof that the demand wont die out. And people in my school either have a PS3 or 360 not any Wii's. And I play 360 with alot of kids from other schools around. Our gamestop manager says there in demand but noone wants umm. All the schools agree that they dont want umm yet there for some reason in demand. I dont get it.IMuGGeDSaTaN
There is demand but no one wants them? Kinda Oxymoronic huh?
By the way, the only thing worse than speculation is anecdotal evidence, so you lose there buddy. And its "them" not "umm". Even "em" would be superior to "umm".Â
The wii has sales because it's cheap not because it's good and people can't afford a 360 or ps3 not because they want a wii. Sure sales matter but so does quality. Nintendo took the gamecube put it in a new package then added a new controller and charged $250 for the same gamecube that flopped !!
Bravo to nintendo that's brillent marketing for you lol

Why do you guys bag so much on spelling you understood you even had a comeback so why does it matter. (Even sheep have to admit that one).Â

The demand is still there for now, but I'm thinking it'll start to slow once summer gets here. Once that happens they will be selling pretty close to what the XBox 360 is selling. If the demand stays high though, the Wii will pass the XBox 360 by the beginning of next year. I don't see the PS3 making any headway until it's price drops.

I can afford both a 360 and a PS3. Yet I don't want either. My PS2 is fine for the gameplay that last gen offered. The ONLY thing the PS3 and 360 are offering is improved graphics. THAT'S ALL. Sure, the Wii is cheap, but it's also different. I agree with the TC. It's a trend, not a fad.

I want more games for it that are not mini-game collections, and I am not getting any, not withstanding Cooking Momma (no way does that count).
I like the system, now I just wish I could do more with it.Â

Hey buddy actually I hope the Wii is a success beyond the PS3 but not the 360. Why you ask not because I want my system to win but because I want Sony's big price to do bad but not fail. I dont want motion sensing being the next generation but I also dont want my MS dominating the market. Because I dont want there to be no compitition. I want Nintendo to beat Sony to show them we dont want huge pricess and I want MS to beat Nintendo so motion sensing doesent become to big. Dont always assume we just want systems to fail because noone wants therer to be no competition. Please Log In to post.
