Wii 2008 exclusives, The Nonlemming/cow Version

Wii Exclusives for 2008. Since the other topic slighted the Wii in the OP, due to heavy fanboyism, I felt the need to post this:

I think all these are exclusive, and they are simply the ones I can remember off the top of my head without having to look anything up.

1. SSB: B

2. Mario Kart: Wii

3. No More Heroes(SUDA-51)

4. Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk(Namco JRPG)

5. Mushroom Men(Gamecock Media Group, not sure if this is exclusive?)

6. Endless Ocean(might be out for ds too, but think it console exclusive)

7. Wii Fit(dunno if it hits this year or next)

8. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers(Square-Enix)

9. Harvest Moon: Wii

10. Rygar: Wii

The top of my freakin' head, and you dare to insult Nintendo's list when you only know about ONE SINGLE GAME coming out for the system next year?

Not to mention some great and popular third party games like Madden, Tiger Woods, Spore, and a ton of games yet to be announced.

Shovelware count as exclusives too, and even though this article is old, an updated one would have the Wii even farther ahead, as the number of Wii games, shovelware or not, is set to surpass the 360 in early '08.

No to mention the simple fact that the Wii is the fastest selling hardware on the market, by a significant margin, with the biggest libarary, and the most exclusive games, with a plethora of them having the opportunity to hit AAA status.

So, honestly, if your gonna flame the Wii's library plans for '08, get your facts straight before you list one exclusive game for them and put the words "lol" after it.

It obviously shows your lack of knowledge about software releases.

Nintendo's 08 lineup is looking strong and if hardware sales keep up, we're gonna see a LOT more good exclusives being released for the Wii on '08/'09, wouldn't you agree?

No offense to 360, or PS3, their lineups are also strong.

Those are the games I'll probably get. In my opinion 08 is overrated and no console has a strong lineup.

PS3: MGS4, I'll give you that. FF13 isn't coming out in 08. Killzone 2, lol. LBP, I'll give you that too.

360: Just a bunch of unproven games and a few first party games like Ninja Gaiden 2, it could go either way.

So Eerie, yet beautiful at the same time.

I'm rooting for the Japanese games: No More Heroes, King Story, the Vanillaware 2D game, FF:CC Crystal Bearers, Fatal Frame IV, Tales of Symphonia 2, Samba de Amigo, etc. I'd say Monster Hunter, but I have strong doubts that it will be good.

Nintendo has already proven that they can make good Wii games. Now, we need to see some cool third-party games, to prove that Nintendo consoles can get good support. Sega has been iffy--Secret Rings and Ghost Squadweremediocre--buthopefully NiGHTS and Samba de Amigo turn out well. Capcom did great with Zack and Wiki, although RE:UC was nothing special. Ubi Soft has made some garbage, butit sounds like they want to dobetter. Activision's GHIII and MOH:H2 were both fairly good, but not amazing.

I think good games canbe made, so let's hope for more quality and quantity in the future.

Also...

I think it would be really cool if the Wii became home to some weird, artsy games (both Japanese and American) and updates to some old-school franchises. Games like Fragile and No More Heroes exemplify this--they're not part of a big series, but they look creative and fun. And, old series like Samba de Amigo are being reborn, using the Wii remote.

Hopefully these kinds of games will become the norm on Wii, instead of all the family-oriented shovelware.

I'm really looking forward to that game. I don't care if anyone else likes it the game is going to be huge and I'm excited about it.

Exactly. Its very VERY easy to do a good fps game because the controls are perfected... So now every fps games is either good or great, so its really hard to pick one above the rest; Either way one big hiter fps will fall on its face (in this case the orange box, which quickly fell out of the uk charts ='[).

Sure these Wii games will have faults, all new franchises do (Assasins creed), but as long as the benefits far outway the faults, who cares?

Yeah, I know a good amount of these games are new franchises, and not sequels.

I'm really looking forward to those Namco games, lol. I loved Tales of Symphonia.

Some of these games are gonna score really well, I imagine. I don't think there is any shovelware on the list, cause I tried not to add any into the games I knew about, lol.

i think you should keep in mind that the wii probably has the most flops to AAA ratio of any console

80% of the wii games out right now get like a 4 out of 10
and usually the only games worth playing are nintendo onesxxgunslingerxx

That's true, though Zack and Wiki, RE4, Trauma Center, and quite a few others have found a home on the Wii.

None of the games I listed are shovelware, and the '08 lineup of possible quailty games is much better than the '07 lineup ever dreamed of being.

The Wii is THE shovelware system, but I'll be darned if I'm putting any shovelware on my list for next year exclusives.
