After having a Wii for just less than a year I agree. I only had alot of fun with it when friends were around. And when friends weren't around I just didn't play it. I sold it recently and I'm not crying over it. A lot of people I know say their Wii just collects dust. I'm not trying to bust on the Wii or anything, it was fun while it lasted. It just didn't... last. I had good games for it too. SMG, SSBB, MP3, SPM, classic downloads, I gave it a real shot. Brawl had more for maybe 20 hours then I stopped playing. I'm a multiplayer fiend, and I demand near cinematic experiences in single player games. A lot of people in this forum love the Wii. It just wasn't for me and there's nothing wrong with that. The Wii didn;t suck, it just didn't captivate me.

You know I really hate when people say things like this it makes them sound stupid and as if they've only been gaming for one gen, I deman near cinematic quality, so what the hell did you do in the days of the Genesis and SNES, even last gen only a handful of games were "cinematic"...

The thing is that in the N64 and before days, it was near impossible to make a game 'cinematic' because of the graphics and audio. But now that it is possible, its expected. Like people used to enjoy watching black and white tv's, but now they expect tv's not to be black and white.

dude thats a little fanboyish, his problems with the wii are perfectly reasonable, he definately has the right to say those things seeing as hes owned the console and played good games. in fact iapplaud him for simply not saying 'teh wii is last gen' or anything like that. for me he gets respect for trying the console out when others dont even give it a chance. well done
It's just a matter of opinion. But I do believe the whole innovation thing is widely exaggerated. You just control games slightly different. But the system isn't powerful enough to generate innovative games on them. Like Portal. Now that's an innovative game. Doubt that would work on the Wii.Ayessua
Please explain how the Wii is not powerful enough to generate innovative games.

Metal Gear Solid was cinematic, Hideo Kojima had no problem with it :|
Not to mention back in the SNES, games like Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger didn't need 'cinematic' features just to be great games.

There is no reason a game like Portal wouldn't work on the Wii. However, it goes the other way quite often. Games like Trauma Center, and Boom Blox could never be done on a traditional system.
haven't touched mine in months, due to the lack of any real games, besides the average party and kiddy/rehashes.
where are all the story driven and graphical games?
Give me more titles like MP3, RE4...come on.
Sick of this gimmick crap.
N64 was their last best console, since the cube, everything became kiddy trash. atleast equal things for both hardcore gamers.

I'm happy now I have FINALLY got Brawl.
My purchase has been justified :)

I know, there were a few games that did have a cinematic feel about them. But it's still not the same as it is now.And i never said a game had to be cinematic to be great, but it is still a big plus.

Super Mario Galaxy wasn't innovative? Even Wario Ware: Smooth Moves was innovative, coming from someone that isn't a huge fan of the series. Whether or not a system can produce innovative games does not correlate to the system's specs.

when will the fanboys learn. Will you be playing video games in 60 years? You were a kid once also and were somehow driven into this industry. Think of casuals and kids as NEW gamers, not these sad labels that "hardcore" gamers came up with to make themselves feel better about the gun-filled games they play. And can you PROVE that the majority of Wii owners are kids? Because that statement alone made me laugh at how ridiculously naive you are. When a system is outselling the others by a LONG SHOT, there is obviously going to be more "grandmas" and more "kiddies" that own it than the other two.[QUOTE="HardTarget86"][QUOTE="Haziqonfire"][QUOTE="HardTarget86"][QUOTE="sherlock99"]the wii is not a rental system this thread was only created to annoy Nintendo fans, i am so sick and tired of seeing these threads everyday, GROW UP.Haziqonfire

The average Wii owner is 29. Look it up.
Brawl has tons of replay value. One rental just isn't enough.
Not to mention, you can't play games like SMG, MP3, Super Paper Mario, Twilight Princess, and No More Heroes in one rental.
why would MORE hardcore of other gamers play wii more so over a younger audience, when MOST of its games are kiddy based and very simple?
your all in denial if you think the Wii has games for ALL audiences equal... but WAY MORE for the casuals/kids. WAY MORE!

Yeah but averaging a 10 year old and a 48 year old gives you 29.
The weird thing is, I probably play Wii more than 360... my habits seem to be the complete opposite of everybody else's. I play some matches of Halo 3 and COD 4 (but usually only if my friends are online), and I play Rock Band whenever I have friends over. I already finished the campaign on both. As for single player games, I have Viva Pinata, Tony Hawk 8, and Psychonauts, and I only play them occasionally.
