WHAT?! There has to be some thing out there, at least a blob of aliens. It was my dream of going to Pluto and getting into a duel with the predator. Maybe even blowing up the lunar moon. Futurama anybody?

The Wii hardware is cheap to manufacture and drastically overpriced. Sony and Microsoft both lose money on hardware - they have high quality machines hardware-wise. Nintendo makes enormous profit on Wii hardware, it's basically a repackaged GC with a motion remote and as such it isn't able to visually set itself apart from the last generation. The days of being blown away by the graphics on a Nintendo console (like when all their old games used to come out... see also Super Mario World, Ocarina, Mario 64, Metroid Prime, RE4 - kiss those days goodbye) are officially over. Great, thanks - a repackaged GC with a new control scheme. Brillaint.

The system capabilities are underwhelming... poor audio and no HD support? Please.

Terrible online system. Right now their online system amounts to a ROM dumping ground, terrible. Friends codes? What a headache.

The library is extremely weak right now. Way too much mini/party games.

Nintendo is targeting the "non gaming" demographic and in doing so they're encouraging devs to make silly, shallow party type games. A console for my Mother and Grandmother? Jesus, no thank you.

good point. I think the industry is hurt more by SOE tanking than Wii cleaning house. If SOE would have taken care of business both PS3 and Wii would be a success right now. The only reason why the industry is scared right now is the PS3 could fail while Wii mauls both formats......atlhough I still say the Wii is not competing with either X360/PS3, it's in a class of its own.

2. Wii mote is a gimmicky joke
3. Miyomato is AFRAID of Hardcore Mature themed games (that's why there are LIMITED mature games that are ALLOWED to be on Wii or even GC)

5. There are XboX, GC, PS2 games that put 99% Wii games to SHAME:lol:

How about everytime a Wii is purchased, a kitten is killed. I think I heard that a couple times.

Actually I have. Loved TP (I would've given it a 9.6/10), thought SPM was great as well(although not absolutely superb like TP.) I actually preferred TP on the GC (I bought both just for comparison) because of the camera control. Those two games can only keep me busy for so long, definitely not 8 months worth of play.

Awesome games.

That being said, two games don't make a whole library. I just can't get into games like Wii sports, Wario Ware, Cooking Mama, etc - and the Wii is full of them and that doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon.

Trust me, I'm not a fanboy. I could make lists just as long for the 360 or the PS3, no system is without flaws.

but I have a higher score than him...I am at 282 he is at 256

Hehehe... I suppose some time in 1976 I was genderless. Thankfully, I've had the same gender since 1977. ;)

On topic, I just can't really come up with a serious complaint. The only thing that's slightly annoying is how I have very inconsistent internet connectivity, but that's because the router has some issues.

I agree with you about the Wii being in a class of its own; the proof is in how it's selling. If you look at sales figures, the Wii is flying off the shelves, and the question is, why? I don't think it's the "hardcore gamer", because quite simply, the PS3 and 360 both offer more of the type of games that have historically appealed to this demographic. However, what seems to be happening is that every kid in America (and Japan) wants a Wii,but also a lot of adults who aren't into gaming are buying the Wii as well (at the Best Buy I work at, I get countless couples coming in, wanting to purchase the Wii for their parties), which is exactly what Nintendo hoped would happen.

And while I think it's obvious by now that Nintendo is expanding the videogame market, which is a good thing, I have one reservation: As has been mentioned in this topic already, what happens if Nintendo continues to crank out "party" games (think Warioware, Mario Party 8, Rayman, etc.), and the Wii continues to sell like wildfire? I love my Wii, but to put it bluntly, I haven't played a Wii game in like 2 or 3 months, as the library of games doesn't appeal to me too much. By the end of the year I should be set (with Mario, Smash Bros. and Metroid all coming out), but I can't help being a little worried at the direction 3rd party devs seem to be going, at least with the Wii...

Nintendo is comming out with a router just for Nintendo products......O well I need to go make a Kenny Mii
