why doesnt nintendo make something like readyboost for the wii

ready boost uses a usb drive for ram if some of you dont know

but with vista it have an enormous effect on comps with a low ram amount like wii has a low amount of ram

it might take 2 months to code a channel or something to use it

and if it had more ram then devs could make much better textures and animations

y not

does this seem liek a good idea to anyone else here

Wait I'm sorry, the Wii needs better graphics to compete with the 360?
Not according to last months sales. :3

That wouldn't improve graphics at all. With Vista it doesn't have an 'enormous' effect but it does help, however it's slow memory that has to be transfered, if you have 2 GB it's useless.

I'm not sure it would benefit Wii much. For one, the rest of it's components are slower than the 360. Second, the Wii's RAM is very, very fast (1TSRAM). The slow USB device would probably be more of a bottleneck.

Could work but not going to happen, I don't think they will make any game that has requirements above what comes in the box (aside from games like Guitar Hero or something that need a whole new control device obviously). I'd be pretty mad if a new 360 game was coming out but I had to pop a flash drive or a 360 memory card in the USB slot to make it play.

Ah, yes, because the TC obviously said that the Wii needs better graphics to compete with the 360, right?

Ram isn't the only reason the 360 is far superior in graphics. If you know this much about ready boost. How can you be so ignorant about GPU's?

u cant add a usb gpu and i know the 360 blows away wii on all fronts in specs but how much time would it take to code something like that

any1 remember how 360 got 512 mb ram cause gears would look better

i know its not super ram or is gunna do a miracle but ram does effect visuals and i think it wouldnt take much work to code and wouldnt cost much to the consumer
