Wii DOES NOT hurt gaming!

What?AvidGamer is defending the Wii? Say it ain't so!:roll:

I blame the DEVS mostly for problematic games on Wii, not the Wii itself. Now that that is outta the way, I have to say...WII DOES NOT IN ANYWAY, SHAPE, OR FORM HURT GAMING! When you look at DS lite, most people don't think..."hmmm...this handheld hurts gaming." If you are going to say that Wii hurts gaming, then you have to say that all Nintendo handhelds have hurt gaming as well. What are you smoking Avid?Think about it. People who claim Wii hurts gaming are making those claims based on the inferior graphics and physics argument. They say Wii is a "step backwards" in gaming. Guess what? Every single Nintendo handheld has had worse graphics than their competitors. Do you think for a second that DS lite or Gameboy Advance is "hurting gaming"? Heck no! So why is there a double-standard with Wii?

the reason that the wii has "alot" of 3rd party publishers looking to make wii-centric games is becasue...to be precise...its cheaper.

for isntance, the average dev thinks, hmm i can just spend less capitol building gmames based on gamecube architecture.....put a very simple interface on a series of mingames, wrap them up and give them a name and crankem out until the sheep run out o cash.

this is why the wii is the system for wii mini games and sodoku 12....and o yah wiifit....hasnt that been done like 3 times allready?
