I'm asking the same thing. I'm still waiting for traditional style games to wow me with the control setup packaged in the box. But instead at E3 they show us this.

Imagine the Wiiboard as your jetski in wave race, and the Wiimote is your steering wheel, in Wii sports 2 you standtilt on the board to move your tennis player and hit the ball with your Wiimote.

There is endless possibilities when you combine the two,there is nothing on 360,PC or PS3 that will be able to compete, eye toy will be a cheap rip off compared to Wiimote + Wiiboard combinations in games. This is the start of something very big for Nintendo.

Believe it or not he has a point.

If this is the future of gaming...then I'm out. Really.

But there's a reason standard controls have existed since the beginning -- they work, they don't make you jump on a pressure pad at the end of a long day and flail about like a monkey, and they're simple but effective. Ultimately, something like WiiFit is uneccessary, because you could just buy yourself a $5 yoga pad and work out for real.

If Wii Fit (and the Wii for that matter) is the new era in gaming...then I'm done gaming.PS3Compass

Coming from PSECompass, that doesn't surprise me.

After all, just wait a year or two and Sony will incorprate their own balance board into the PS3 to revive its dead sales.

Look, you can't possibly say Ninty isn't trying to expand and better gaming because certainly just adding pixls to the screen isn't exactly the most original strategy.

And If you're even ready to quit gaming coz of something like that, you'd be what they call a "casual" then. Not that I'm one for name calling but you would be. Coz you would quit gaming coz of something minor you didn't like that doesn't even immediately effect you're chosen platform.

A "hardcore" gamer would just see it through. You know the old idea of , mmm i dunno trying everything before judging and realising that it isn't the end of the world.

I can't imagine how well a FPS could work with this Wii Fit board. The Fitness thing doesn't seem up my alley but then again I didn't think Brain Age, Touch Controls, Pikmin, etc were either and I love them.

I mean imagine leaning to dodge a bullet, or just playing soccer like they showed at E3.

Look if you're really that melodramatic as to think its the end of gaming or something like that then stop buying products I and others could be putting to a better purpose.

With that attitude you don't belong in gaming.
