My brothers Wii is used on my 26" Samsung and it looks fine. I'm guessing you aren't using component cables?

I have had Component cables for the GAMECUBE and the Wii when they were available.

The Wii Component Cables, I don't see much of a difference, but you do gain Widescreen Support. Sorry, That's my observation.

I have NEVER had Wii owning friends come over and say ANYTHING about my $50 Component Cables for my Wii, but when they've seen my PS3 or 360 on, the Compliments do flood in (EVEN from Fellow PS3/360 Owners.).

The Base Signal is still horrid. You need to do more research in HD before suggesting otherwise.

that's it. I've had it. If I can;t have Wii games that look nice on my 1080p set (like Re 4, my favorite) then I'm not going to own a Wii anymore. I'm putting it up on Craigslist. I'm so disgusted wirth Nintendo.

Of course it does, and that was a poor analogy. Games are VISUAL, and the blurry ugly SD visuals on an HDTV ruin the experience. In this case, it ruined it for me. It's one of my faovrite games.

Looks fine on my 44 inch Sony HDTV, although it is an older model which only does 1080i max resolution.

i have a 46" 1080p samsung

the wii looked horrible on it with normal cables, but i bought a component cable (surprisingly hard to find!) and it makes a huge difference

i've even been playing old gamecube games like pikmin, and they look ok too

but lately i've generally been playing catchup with gaming, and playing a lot of old classics that i missed during my childhood .. so maybe i'm just good at adjusting to dated graphics?

I've been doing research, and apparently most people who bought the component cables saod the image quality is improved. i don't expect them tp upscale like Xbox games on the 360, but if it's enough of an improvement to notice with the naked eye, I'll give them a shot. I don't mind being able to see some jaggies, as long as the edges are crisper, and the image more colorful. unfortunately Re remake and zero weren't progressive scan, so there's nothing I can do about those 2 other than buy a SDTV again.

Really? I consider REmake and Zelda: WW to still be two of the best looking games someone can play, regardless of the system. (Viewtiful Joe and Killer 7 as well, due to simply incredible visual style)

you didn't read my post carefully. They ARE some of the best looking gamecube games, but they don't look good on an hdtv, nor feature Progressive scan mode.

The image gets a tad bit crisper with Components but they're not going to blow you away... Especially if you own a PS3 or a 360. I own SMG (arguably the best looking wii title) and I have an HDTV ect.. It still looked blah... (did enjoy the water levels though). Do yourself a favor and erase any trace of "good looking wii games" out of your mind before you continue to play the system.
