Those are myths about technical feature limitations that absolutely no one here is talking about. The downright Wii grahphix fact is that it is vastly inferior to 360/PS3 and is almost identical to the 6 year old gamecube architechture with increased base stats. It's like having a 6 year old low end and high end graphics card of the same generation... both are so outdated it hardly makes a difference. The Wii is certainly better than the Xbox but doubling the statistics of the same type of hardware is not next-gen at all or even close to a worthy leap.
I wouldn't care about the graphics at all if the Wii was actually priced accordingly. Nintendo could easily be selling a $250 console at no loss capable of 720p near 360 visuals. Instead the rehash the Gamecube and sell it for MORE than it launched at 6 years ago. Probably did it because they had no idea if the Wiimote would succeed yet it would still sell no matter what to Nintendo fanboys and they'd make profit and would have room to cut prices.... so yeah it boils down to Nintendo wasn't confident so they went for ripping us off at first to test the waters.

If they had given it good graphics and sold it for the same price as the ps3 they probly be out of business by now
I don't see how that debunked anything. Until I see a game on the Wii that would be impossible to reproduce on a PS2 or Xbox 1, It will still seem like Nintendo repackaged a gamecube with motion controls.
If you look at PS3/360 games, they look VASTLY superior to anything on PS2/XBOX. Not so with the Wii. I hope some games come out soon that prove me wrong.

exactly
until one day Wii can do God of War 2, Ninja Gaiden: Black, and Halo 2 graphics, I will never consider it as a next gen console
