Well, it is certainly aimed at a larger market, but I enjoy my Wii very much. I wouldn't exactly consider myself a "casual" gamer.

This. IMO, a player is either "casual" or "hardcore" depending on how much they care for gaming, not what kind of games they play. If someone spent a lot of time playing Wii Sports in order to get their rank up, then yes, they could technicially be "hardcore."
