When I saw this picture, the only thing that came to mind was:

"Oh yeah well if you don't stop spawn camping I'm gonna tell my mom!"

Also anyone find it odd that their HDTV is on that desk in the corner while they have some POS SDTV in the (presumably)middle of the room?

Theres no age limit either end of the spectrum IMO. Violent games and stuff like that should be allowed to all ages, so long as the parents don't F up the child and teach him/her discipline the child won't become a psychopath.

Jee...I wish I had a setup like this when I was like 5.

Um, yeah, there are a lot of kids on XBL for some reason. The few times I've played Halo online though I played against adults I think.

It's funny.

I think the ultimate kiddy games for 360s are the dead or alive games. It's like selling dirty magizines to kids and teens, they love it.

Isn't that the famous kid Halo champion? There's a famous Halo champion who's only 8-9 years old, looked Hispanic, and that is probably him.

So you took a picture of a famous (and rare) gamer and tried to pass it off as a common thing.

It tells me why Halo is such a great game. Easy to pick up and play, incredibly difficult to master. The closest to perfection a series has ever gotten.

Depends on the game. Halo obviously gets a ton of kids because its so popular. But ongames like Forza, R6: Vegas, GRAW and PGR 3 I rarely see any kids.

"Lil Poison" is a famous Halo gamer. He's been on CNN and other shows.

It's obvious why he has that setup, he won a lot of cash money and has sponsors. He does NOT represent the typical Xbox 360 user. Gamers that age are probably less than 10%. But gamers that age for Wii are probably over 50%.

I don't even understand what this thread is about. What exactly are you talking about? Are you making fun of Wii or Xbox 360? You're not very clear to talk to, despite your CAPS. I am defending Xbox 360, I'm not sure if you're on my side or on the other side.

Lets not talk about maturity when you're either permanently fused to the caplock button or completely oblivious to the fact that the shift button exists as a very viable alternative.

Progaming figures vary year to year. Fatality had years where he did earned 6 figures then there were years where he only earned 5 figures. MLG isn't as big as say WCG or Starleague so I'm not seeing that kid earning much compared to the more competitive players in games like Starcraft.

I'll say this about the kid: He's earning more than me. That is sad.

And Mozart was a better piano player by age 9 then probably 99% of the world ever will be, I guess music's for kids too. And theres that kid who graduated from university when he was 12 years old or something, so I suppose learning isn't mature either. Then theres always that 7 year old kid on Springer whos already rocking the casbha, so that must mean sex is immature too.

I remember reading something about a bunch of MLG Halo 2 players signing contracts for 1 million over 4 years each. Thats more than mostdoctors make. That is beyond depressing.

In that situation, I'd say "sex" really should be classified as "molestation".

At age 7, I was more concerned with watching Thundercats and Transformers than...you know..."Barry White".

That was Team 3D getting paid 1 million as a team, so 250k each.

Professional gaming is gaining speed, what can I say? There hasn't been a game that has solidify Pro gaming as a major thing here in America, however. Am I expecting Halo 3 to be that game? Probably not. So far the biggest pro game in the world is Starcraft, which didn't make the impact in the US like it did in Korea (Esport capital of the world).

Ijust don't get why people watch it. I know that MLG players obviously have some talent, but its more experience than anything (at least thats my experience with games), its not like sports where there is an obvious amount of skill and talent that few people have.

There's an audience for anything in this world. I don't get why people watch animal porn, all I know is that people watch it. Not trying to compare animal porn with pro gaming but I think you got my point. :)

The fact is that it truly depends on the game. While you can be experienced in chess and poker, you truly don't appreciate the work people put into those games until you've watch professionals. While I personally wouldn't care for watching FPS competition (Map memorization and item spawning...yawn), I do enjoy watching RTS and fighting game competition since it plays out like a game of chess. Experience is one thing but being able to apply what you've learned perfectly is another.

Also there is a plus to watching pro games: They tend to improve your capabilities in playing a certain game.

lol nice pic and yes there are 5 year olds playing on XBL but you rarely see them. However Nintendo is a family console and xbox360 is ment for teens and adults. It may not say that on the box but wii is kiddy because of it only has a few games with blood and guts and swear words in it. Xbox360 has tons of games like that.

HE? LOOK AT THAT.

A CHILD OF THIS AGE, PRACTICALLY AN INFANT, IS NOT READY YET FOR COMPLEX GAMES LIKE LETS SAY WARCRAFT, COMPANY OF HEROES, WARHAMMER, SUPREME COMMANDER, Galactic Civilizations, Ages of empireS, MYTH, ETC

BUT IT'S PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF MASTERING THE XBOX 360 TO PERFECTION...

WHAT DOES THIS SAY ABOUT THE XBOX? :|

XileLord

lol nice pic and yes there are 5 year olds playing on XBL but you rarely see them. However Nintendo is a family console and xbox360 is ment for teens and adults. It may not say that on the box but wii is kiddy because of it only has a few games with blood and guts and swear words in it. Xbox360 has tons of games like that.

Holy crap that has got to be the most retarded logic I have ever read. Just because a game doesnt have swearing in it or blood and guts cant make it mature? Yes thats why Metroid is rated T and Halo is M even though there is basically no swearing in Halo or very much blood. Jesus christ Doom was rated M when it came out, now its a T rated game and it still has blood in it even though its an old game. Metroid has a pretty mature and complex storyline that im sure a small brained person like you couldnt comprehend. No More Heroes and Manhunt 2 will be more violent then any of the crap on the 360 thats for sure.
