wii music is officially starting to interest me

With this preview from 1up i gotta say it does not look like wii music is going to be in any way a cop out for easy cash. I especially like how you can make your own compositions.

I think it looks like a terrible excuse for a game, and I woudn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Then again, the game isn't being created with people like me in my mind, so I suppose my antipathy towards it is only to be expected.

Well, I wasn't trying to say that it being tailor made for a certain group of "gamers" makes it any less of an abomination and an affront to gaming as a whole.

I was merely pointing out that its status as an abomination is implied during the process of its creation. They know exactly what they are making, and they know who they are making it for.

People like you and me hating it shoudn't come as a suprise to them, or anyone else. We shoudn't even have to say "this looks like crap."

It's like saying "wow, that pile of horse crap sure looks like crap." It's status as crap is inferred implicitly.

We should all be young at heart but that doesn't mean we should all be sucking on pacifiers and wearing diapers. Sometimes shame is a good thing. No offense...and by that I mean...I mean to be really offensive....no adult should be thinking this game looks good. Really. Their is a time when you can't play with action figures anymore.

My favorite thing about the game, is you can't lose! The song just keeps on coming out, and you just wiggle away.

How exactly is that the case? There are numerous games which don't seem to have any real goals or dificulty and they aren't hated upon in fact they're loved.

The Sims could possibly be one of the most aimless games around you aren't told what to you just try and make your own life. Wii music works in the exact same way in the regard that you're not told what to do you just mess around play a bunch of different instruments and create your own music.

Korg-10, Jam Sessions and Electroplankton have the same "screw around with music" approach and we don't hate them either so what gives?
