The funny thing I've noticed about the wii is that it seems like me and most of my friends enjoy A games on the wii more than many AAA games for other systems.

I can only imagine how much fun some "true" AAA games for the wii will be.

Don't get me wrong, I love my PS2 and 360 to death as well.  I just think the wii brings a totally different type of fun to gaming.  It just feels very refreshing to watch my friends, mostly non-gamers, play the hell out of wii bowling all night.  The beer doesn't hurt though :)

It is very important to remember that game reviewers like those on gamespot are hardcore gamers; Thus, they tend to review the hardcore gamers point of view.

You are really correct I find games which score A or AA (trauma center I'm looking at you) are ALOT more fun than A or AA games on other consoles.

Was that sarcasm I smell? Nah... we would all like to play Gears of Wii. On the main topic though, they can't change the grading curve because it is a different system or a different controller, that's the point of the reviews anyway. TO COMPARE! If you eliminate the competition, what is the point in reviewing it? They have to give it a 10 as long as it isn't a sequel. Example: "Out of all the PS3 games where you play in a dirt race in all desert environments, with many types of vehicles, and try to crash other vehicles, Motorstorm is the best. 10/10"

I don't get it, what makes it more fun? The fact that you are hitting an invisible object with the "wii-mote?" Or is it that you think it's more fun when it actually isn't?

The only thing that kills me about the Wii is the name. I mean come on Wii? They should have kept revolution. I would have settled for Rev or Revo. If it hadn't been Nintendo that put it out, people would have been like WTF?

They called it Wii because people would remember it. It's a ridiculous name, but everyone knows what it is. At my college campus, I mention the Wii and people know what it is, I mention the PS3 and they look at me like a deer in the headlights.

From what I've seen on videos on GS, for "Hardcore Gamers" some of them really suck at playing games!  :D

Most people that are "in the know" about games consider themselves hardcore. Most people don't understand that being hardcore actually involves playing games.

The name Revolution was too intimidating for non-gamers.

What the hell does that mean "You think its more fun when it actually isnt?" fun is all an opinion, you dont think it's fun fine, but when someone else is having fun it's fun to them, fun isnt a set thing for everyone. I bet you havent even played one/

Crackdown is so much more fun when I swing the wireless controller up in the air as I jump to the next roof top - I just use my imagination as though it's a Wiimote and BINGO - I'm in heaven........... NOT ! ;)
