Wii or DS?

I want to get a Nintendo Wii, but I also want a hand held. There is only one hand held I want (the DS), but I would also like to get a Wii. Which would you rather have and why?

DS is the better choice at the moment. It has better games and a wider choice of genres. Lots of great games to choose from. The cheaper price means you can get more games too. Buy a Wii later.

Today, DS > Wii.

On the other hand, DS is not a TV console and never will be. 

I have both.  Right now I play the DS a little more, mainly as it is just so convenient to pick it up and play when I have a bit of spare time.  :)

I already have a TV console with my PS3, so that is not an issue.

Nintendo are awesome. They've been around since the late eighteen hundreds and they're still kicking ass in the year 2007.
