I'm annoyed I have to wait for the killer apps we were supposed to have now. Also there's not enough graphically impressive titles.
I think by the end of the year, the Wii will have proved to be a worthy purchase, though.

it what were those suppose to be :?
it was never ment to be a grapchially system :|
I'm overall satisfied.I have a few gripes with it (no online play yet, horrid graphics for some games, lazy developers,no Super Metroid on VC),but hopefully those will be fixed soon.
Meh...
The last title i played on it was Super Paper Mario, which was really good, if my wireless router was up and running, i would probably downlaod several VC games (Punch out, Tecmo Bowl, Mystical Ninja).
Right now Im just playing my DS (Pokemon keeps me hooked) but console wise, i have been playing my 360 (oblivion and crackdown).
Nintendo always has game droughts, which is kind of bad because then i need to find a game to play on it, and Wii games are usually only amazing, or complete trash, with few in between. I wish the big N could attract 3rd parties better...

We were supposed to have Metroid Prime 3 by now, for example...
Also I might have worded my sentence wrongly, I want games with a good aesthetic sense, not necessarily technical specs but at least this should be taken care of. For example I think PDZ looks really bad aesthetically although it has good technical aspects.

I heard that was a rumor only started by the sheep for mp3 coming out....
but who knows. there has been but yea i agree needs to be doing better.
I used to be one of the biggest proponents of the Wii on here. I waited in line and got it on launch day. I defended it up and down. Now, months later, I've finally sold it on ebay (you can STILL get a profit for USED Wii...which is AMAZING) because I just never used it.
It just doesn't have enough good games and it doesn't look like there are many good comes coming in the horizon. I'm not keeping a game system for just 2 games in a year (Metroid and Mario Galaxy) and there's nothing else really worth getting (if you already have Zelda).
Do I think the Wii will be a failure? No. There's too many out there and too many people still looking to get one for developers to ignore it. They will have no choice but to continue to develop games for the Wii and they WILL get better.
My plan is to wait another year and buy the Wii again when there are actually good games (and you can actually FIND one). How crazy is it that there are STILL, to THIS day, people waiting in line for a Wii.
wouldnt know sold it the third day after buying it and realsing how big of a POS it is.
geneticlone
LMFAO!!!
But serioualy most people should wait and buy one when Brawl comes out. Like me. But i have to admit Spiderman 3ii does look tempting......

let me judge a conole on 3days than sale it. you just wasted 250 :|
for nothing
He would of wasted 250 if he sold it for 0. He probably sold it for 400 due to the shortages it had.
Mines sitting collecting dust right now but hopefully soon it should get some playing time. But by that time i'll probably have a PS3.

I had it since launch and so far it's dissapointing. Only got 2 games for it, 2 games(Zelda and SPM) that weren't built from the ground up for it and didn't live up to my expectations. Zelda was good but it wasn't the great experience I expected it to be. SPM was dissapointing as it was too linear and while the 2D/3D was a well thought out idea, it seems like they didn't make really good use of it. I also hate all those ports coming out for it, ports that are really bad too.
However I know the console has plenty of potential and I also understand that many developers were caught off guard by it's success so I except to see plenty of support next year and hopefully a good amount of original stuff for it. Also with Sony's party event next week(tomorrow I believe) I really hope Nintendo will have one of it's own show this month. Also if I remember correctly, Matt said we might finally get some Metroid Prime 3 goods on the week of the 21st so I'm really looking forward to that because t's probably gonna be the first trully awesome Wii game that was actually built for it.
Mine's broken and in for repairs :?
Before that however, I was playing Super Mario World and Dragonball Z quite a bit...
I would rate the games at the time of my console breaking down a 7 out of 10 (and that's not counting the VC). Good, but could be better.

WTF? Wii's break?

So basically you created this topic to troll with?
Anyone who sold their Wii only six months after launch needs to know how to manage their money better. EVERY console has a drought when it first comes out. 360 had it (even though Oblivion launched), and the Wii and PS3 are both having it. It should be common knowledge by now.
I've been playing my Wii quite a bit lately, but half of it is old GC titles that I never got around to. Killer 7 owns.
um yes my wii is my primary console... since i dont have a 360 anymore... what do you think happend to it lolIf it is your primary console?

Honestly, the Wii "drought" is not nearly as bad as the DS drought was. Any of you get the DS on launch day? I did, and the only game I had for about 6 months was Super Mario 64DS. I was getting pretty bored with my DS, but I didn't sell it. It wasn't until June of '05 when there were some good games out (Meteos, Kirby, etc.) and there's pretty much been a steady stream since then. Not to mention the DS only had, what 5 games available at lunch? The Wii had a lot more, and a lot bigger variety.
I've only had my Wii for three weeks, but I use it every day. I've probably logged about 80 hours on it between SPM, Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, and Wii Play. There are at least two games I want to get that are out now, and plenty more I'd like to get once they're available. I don't regret my purchase one bit. I just wish I had more $$$. Gaming is just getting too expensive all around.
I'm very satisfied with my purchase of the Wii. It is holding up quite well.
About 17 hours into Super Paper Mario now, which is the latest game I've played. After that I'll be back to buying VC titles. I have 6 Wii games in all and 8 VC titles. Anyone who complains of a drought either ignores the potential of the current library or doesnt want to spend the cash on regular games.
There is a lot out there for the Wii, and its holding up quite well. Next purchases for it will be Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition and Pokemon Battle Revolution this summer. Cant wait. :)
