First off, I'll just say that I don't have any strong hatred towards any of the 3 consoles curently available.
I'm just gonna tell it like I see it, and you're free to agree or disagree with my POV.
Of the 3 current gen systems available I own just one: the Wii. It's a fun little system, with lots of good games that just about anyone can enjoy, but it's lacking in some major core areas. For starters, where's the RPG's? Neither Nintendo, nor the 3rd parties supporting the system have released many RPG's (2-3 so far?), and the horizon looks just as bleak.
In addition to an extremely weak RPG library on the system, it gets the black sheep treatment when it comes to versions of certain games. GH III being a big one, and the recent news about RB Wii being severly gimped only showcases the problem even more. In other words: If a game is multi-platform, the Wii version is for suckers, everytime.
Seriously though, the Wii is a great system, I'm not all about the negativity. But imo, the Wii is just what I thought it was going to be: a secondary system. It's Robin, and your choice of the 360 or PS3 is Batman.
I'm going to get a PS3 to pair up with the Wii. It has to be done. PS3>360 because of Blu Ray, and according to IGN's release lists, they've got equally strong line-ups, with the PS3 possibly having a slight edge in terms of the types of games I enjoy.
Do you agree with my view that the Wii is best thought of as a secondary system? One that is more or less the sidekick of one of the other 2 consoles.
