Wii - Picking up the Pieces

It seems that a lot of people have turned on the Wii after their Media Briefing, and its completely understandable... it sucked! But that does not mean that the Wii is falling to pieces because Miyamoto wanted to show off Wii Fit. Here is a list of games to really get excited about! :D

Why did I add Disaster? Look what Nintendo put next to their press release about the Wii Zapper!

Wii Zapper : It arrives on store shelves later this year, packaged with Nintendo-developed software that shows off its versatility.

This HAS to be Disaster! :D

Does Wii still have a GREAT year coming? Oh god yes! Dont get down just because of one Media Briefing...

Its a good line up no doubt, but its gonna be hard against the line ups of the PS3 and 360, also what about 08? I really hope Nintendo shows off a lot of cool upcoming games for 08 at TGS

Nintendo has this habit of not telling the press or gamers what games are coming or what are their plans. its been this way from snes days, instead of worrying what they didnt show at the press confrence wait until its over then judge them. same goes for all.harry2k5

People seem to forget the number of games that weren't mentioned in the past.

For example. SSBB wasn't showen off at the pressconfrence last year. It was later in E3...

Good god I hope it's not metroid. It works with light gun games and SOME FPS's, but it will butcher Metroid.

where did u get the fire emblem date? cause im suddenly a lot happier about the Wii even if Nintendo looked like a bunch of sellouts.

What I don't understand is why fanboys expect such presentations to cater to their tastes and expectations. These companies are addressing the industry and press, not the rest of us.

Exactly. Nintendo knows that core gamers are well aware of these games. It's silly to be upset just because they weren't showcased in a flashy press conference. They're still at E3. You'll still get all the demos you want. What's the big deal?

People keep forgetting this is the new E3, a shadow of its former self. MS didn't even bother showing anything of importance other than a Halo video that appears to be made of several different builds (IMO), and its most exciting game announcement is a tie between SceneIt and Viva Pinata: Party Animals. Hardly the stuff of past E3's, and it looks like MS is going to save all the announcements for X07. Same thing with Nintendo, they're surehave some great unannouncedgames in development (new Zelda for Wii anyone?) but only talked about games that had already been shown, their casual oriented lineup and Mario Kart Wii, of which they let us know nothing of importance. Only Sony appeared to actually put effort into their presentation, and after E3 06 they had to have a good showing regardless.

Plain and simple people, E3 is never going to be the same.

No its not for metriod. Its for Ghost Squad, RE:UC, and a new Moh that is just for the wii with 32 player online. (no the Moh is not a light gun thats on rails) But for the online fps game for Wii I must say bad A$$

I thought Disaster was supposed to be a third person game? Plus, isn't the game/zapper bundle only supposed to be $20? Disaster doesn't seem like a below-$20 game to me. At least I hope it isn't. WOW! Each game is different! And its REALLY strange when comparing this with the other consoles... where there are like 5 shooters each... XD (not saying that the 360.PS3 line-ups are bad, they are VERY GOOD!!!).

That's why the zappers so great. It's free, and you don't need to have it. You have the option to use it, but you can play the game just fine without it.

I have a feeling they wanted to leave that confirmation to the DOJO update. I mean the four controller options was huge yet they didn't wait till E3 for that.
