Wii Play (11.5m sold) ,Halo 3 (7.62m sold)

MS must really be watching how the wii and its games are performing on the market , they spent probably 30-50 million to produce halo 3 and it gets outsold by the millions by a low budget Wii title ,minigames FTW .

I think it is actually great that Wii Play has sold well, it would be great to see more games be bundled with a controller for a low price (we had Big Brain Academy with a Wii Remote for the same price so i got that instead of Wii Play, note that is for Australia).

you realy have to tip your hat to nintendo's Sales tactics though. I mean why buy the contoller on its own?

That was why people purchased Wiiplya..a game and a Wii wand for £40. Its £40 for the wand on its own, get a game with it, sounds like a plan.

Better quality products tend to sell better, so this is no surprise.

At least Lemmings are richer in the games department. Better games. better online, real next gen games, etc.

Sheep are stuck playing a casualized Zelda, some trashy cartoon game, Wii Fit, etc.

My mottos is, "Anything but a Wii". I would take a Cube, Jaguar, Virtual Boy, Game Boy Colecovision, Atarti, and just about every home console system over a Wii.

The main reason for those huge sales figures is the extra controller you get with the gameEPaul

Look how easy Twilight Princess was! I love Zelda but Nintendo dropped the ball after hyping it up so much.

Now Twilight Princess is the last Zelda of its kind.......what is next? A even more casualized Zelda with a kiddy cartoonish look. Believe me, Nintendo is trying to cater to casuals so they will ditch the formula and simpfly it.

The next Zelda will be more like Wii Fit than a real Zelda game.

Even Shigeru expressed disappointment with Twilight Princess's sales.

Yeah because the Wii is really overrated isn't it. And the 360 isn't? Or the PS3? "Yeah but it's a PS2 but with awesome graphics!" doesn't really entice me into buying a console...

That would be cool. I'd much rather have BBA than Wii Play as a pack-in.

That is like saying Solitare has outsold Crysis 5,000,000,000 to 1...it just doe not make any sense. Wii play is a remote demo at best and should not be compared to any full games. Lets compare SSBB and Mario Kart Wii (one of which I own and one I will own) and see the sales numbers on these excellent products vs. Halo or MGS4. Bottom line is right now the 360 has a better attach rate for games while the Wii has a larger install base world wide.T_0_D

i actually opted for halo3 instead of wiiplay

though i sold halo3 already.. i wouldve kept wiiplay since it wouldve been a better deal for me

And 11.5 Wiiplays were bought jsut for the Controller. which means 11.5 Wii play game Discs in a Garbage dump somewhre. black_awpN1

JUs t because they bought it mainly for the controller doesn't mean there gonna put there game in the garbage.
