[QUOTE="bezaire2005"] it would be rational to think that if we count sales of videogames that are bundled with systems, why cant a game that is bundled with a controller count?
answer: because its from nintendo and its selling like crazy. i love system wars

Have you actually played wiiplay? It's stupid, and it's basically just a controller tutorial in the form of a few mini games. The difference is that people aren't buying wiiplay for the sake of buying wiiplay, there buying it because they think they are getting a $10 game that they will probably only play once or twice (like I did). People pay over $60 for Halo 3.
Quick question: how many Halo3's would have been sold if MS sold a controller + Halo 3 package for $10 more than a controller alone?
I normally agree with the whole system wars are idiots thing...but in this case it's just you.
yes. i have it. i played it a few times, got my $10 worth
people can just buy a controller for $10 less, but yet they DECIDE to buy Wiiplay. does it hurt to try to wrap your brain around this simple fact?
They decide to buy wiiplay because they think to themslves "why would I buy a controller for this much when i can get a game and a controller for just a little bit more". Like I did. Or because they can't find a standalone controller...like you. They don't know that the game is a piece of crap, they don't know that they are only going to ever play the game once. If I knew what wiiplay consisted of before I bought it than I would have never bought it. It's my fault for not looking into it more, but it's only a little more money so it's no big deal. Don't fool yourself into thinking that people WANT this game, becuase it's really only good for a quickplay once or twice and than it's used as a coaster.
What exactly is the point of your argument? What exactly is the point of this thread all together? To try and suggest that Wiiplay is better than Halo 3? If that's what you are trying to get accross, than my work here is done, because you are hopless, and obviously outnumbered by people who can look past extremely skewed sales and focus on the reality of the situation. Otherwise, I don't see why this is even a topic of discussion. Wiiplay is not better than Halo 3..if it were to be sold alone it would not have over 10 million sales. It's been completly boosted by the fact that it's a cheap game bundled with a controller. It has little-to-no replay value at all, and is successfull for the soul reason that people who want a controller think "why not?". This is nothing to brag about, this is nothing to be used to claim the wii's supremacy. This is equivalent to boasting about how well little toys sell when they are bundled inside kinders surpise eggs during easter. It's pointless, means nothing, and the fact that you are trying to defend Wiiplay like it's what people WANT is kind of embarassing for you and the Wii's library.
i never said they wanted it, i said they DECIDED to buy it. meaning its kinda like an impulse buy.
you can get a controller for $40, or that plus a small game for $50.
but nevertheless, they decided to buy it instead of just the controller. its simple, i think you are looking too much into it.
I've already said and agree with what you are saying...about 5 times now. You basically just rehashed my post in your reply. I said they decided to buy it. I said that it was an impulse buy. I said that it's only a little more expensive than a controller...so i don't know why you even bothered posting. What I wanna know is what in blue hell is your point? What is this information supposed to mean exactly? What's the underlying purpose?
