Wii really is the most over priced console.

It's still the same price it was at launch. I can only assume this is because Nintendo are having a hard enough time meeting the demand as it is, but it is getting beyond ridiculous. I'm from the UK and I recently saw an advert for a Core 360 with a memory card and 3 games (one of them was GEOW I think) for £180 -the same price as a Wii console with Wii Sports.
I know Microsoft are clearing out old stock and stuff like that, but a 360 and 3 games for the same price as a grossly underpowered Wii with one game that's not even a 'real' game? :roll: Nintendo really are milking it.

From a business perspective, if your product is selling, there's no point in lowering its price. Wiis are already selling out at its current price, and lowering it won't necessarily net Nintendo more money (it'll be less), nor will it help Wiis sell any faster (unless you want to go from selling out in twenty minutes to ten).

Had the Wii not been selling as well as it is, I'm sure the pricing of the other consoles probably would be a lot different than it is today.

Nintendo is not Microsoft or Sony. They only make money off video games. They can't subsidize like the big companies.

Other consoles don't come with games (unless you're talking bundles).

DON'T buy a Wii in the UK. Import one from the United States. The games are cheaper and they come out sooner.

yes, but the main point in your statement was that the other consoles aren't playable straight from the box...which they are. they just need their games :P

thats exactly why it just passed 360 in sales i mean come one nintendo what are you doing that price is ridiculous escpecially if you cant find one anywhere what are they thinkingsolidsnakeo
