I have been playing Nintendo since I was five, only having Super Mario Bros and duck hunt.. Since then I've gotten every Nintendo system and every nintendo handheld except Gameboy Color. In my opinion Nintendo still makes the best games; Mario, Kirby, Super Smash Bros., Zelda, Metroid and Pokemonruled the schoolyard back in the day.I started noticing a problem when for the first time I seriously started considering getting a non-Nintendo system while playing my friends 360.

Look at wii's page on gamespot. The news screen that flashes by now only has four slots, the other systems having five slots, not too big of a deal, theres just not as much news to report for the Wii.

Next look at the top rated games section, eight of those are nintendo made. I remember Nintendo talking about all the third party support it was getting with wii. And the third party games we do get are nothing special, Naruto, One Piece, de blob and truama center? nothing main stream nintendo will really benefit from.

The graphics, us nintendo fans can say it doesn't matter, and graphics will never be the deciding factor for me personally, but it is for a lot of people and Call of Duty 4 for xbox360 is alot nicer than my call of duty 3 for wii

And all of this is happening when PS3 dropped its price and started coming out with a few successful games, which is something 360 has been doing for quite some time now. How long do you think before Nintendo slips from power? i cant see it staying on top for more than two more years at this rate.

it wont never slip from power, as long as nintendo and dedicated third parties serve fresh and new games. it may go the route of ds games when it comes to variety. Nothing at this point can match the Ds, when it comes to share varitey of games. if the Wii can match that, then it will be the number 2 selling video game machine for a while

I assume you dont have a gaming PC then.

If thats the case and you are playing Wii games you are just missing out. I like the Wii, I own one and play it on a regular basis. But its not in the same league.

People never talk about the sound for the Wii but the audio set up is going to be a full decade out of date before this gen is over. It makes a huge differance to me when I game, it sounds really bad.

SMG kicks ass (it deserved goty)but if you are playing that and have not played games like Crysis (PC) Bioshock, and ME... you dont know**** about where gaming is today.

Ugh, glitchspot, seriously, how long have these glitches been here?! 5 years?!?

No, I don't have a gaming rig :P I don't really like shooters, so Bioshock, ME and Crysis are pretty much out of the question.

the wii has done very well so far, and i'm sure it will do great again in 2008. I'm just waiting to see what kind of games will be available for the wii. With the wii doing so well last year, I'd expect better things in 2008, I want to see what kind of games the third party developers will bring to the wii. I want more fighting games, like virtua fighter and soul caliber, these games are available for the 360 and ps3 but not the wii. I'm also waiting for the big games to make the switch to the wii, like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, etc. There are no hard core games coming to the wii. the wii should have all types of games being made for it!!! Its number one right now!!!!:D
