It's only a rumor...
but Wii Sports 2 + online would be great!
Although I don't think it'd end the console war. :P
Rumor, even if true, Nintendo better make some imporvments on Wii Sports 2, Wii Sports 1 felt like a demoHappyInvader101
No. What you perceived as limitations are actually product features that increase Wii Sports' appeal to insane levels.
Swimming, Hockey, Volleyball, and Horse Riding? All for women besides Hockey. Endfinal
That's not really a negative, though. Women bounce quite attractively when they play Wii Sports.
But WiiSports sucked, as you could win a game of tennis by kicking the Wiimote!!! Why the heck would they want to make a sequel!?!?ShmenonPieNormally i don't care....but you have some of the most ignorant anti-Wii posts on these forums! So very annoying!

That's why its outselling the PS3 and 360 games.
Wii sports is a bundled game, what do you expect.
It's almost certainly selling systems where it is bundled, and in Japan it's already sold more than 1.5 million copies as a standalone game.

People love Wii sports, you huge flaming fanboy. I guess you can't possibly understand til you've played with a group of like 3-4 friends.
Also, you say the DS is better than the PSP because not even a fanboy can overlook the superobvious.

In Japan were it was not bundled it sold over 1.4 million units. That is more than any PS3 game has sold in Japan. also Wii play sold over 1.3 million in Japan alone.
Nintendo must be doing something right for the game to be selling this well
Wii sport don't deserve a sequel IMOOscar-Wilde

Your opinion is less important than the opinions of all those who would happily purchase a sequel. Thus all is right with the world.
The day when the world comes to an end is when the day some goon hypes Wii sports.Riviera_PhantomWhat?

It doesn't matter which company you "support", saying that any popular game doesn't deserve a sequel because you didn't like it is egotistical hyperbole and deserves all the ridicule it gets.
I would love a new Wii Sports game, with more customization, fleshed out games, and more sports added to them. Also, an "achievement" like system, that sends messages to your friends on your Wii when you beat a personal best, it shares it with your friends on your Wii to brag about it. :P
Online play would be decent, but only if you have voice chat, and they could keep the "community" sense you get when playing Wii Sports with people over.
The idea of putting Wii Sports with the Wii console was a good idea for Europe and NA. How would they sell Wii Sport 2 I wonder? With a new console or separately?
If Wii Sports 2 comes out with online play that's great but it won't end the console wars. The only thing it will do is give people a better opinion about the Wii. The poor port overs (Ubisoft included) aren't doing the console any favours/favors at the moment.
