No, I'm not joking. I would spend $250 for Wii Sports alone. This game is incredibly simply, yet incredibly fun. So many family members, and so many friends are now convinced that gaming is for them. When my family and I celebrate Easter today, we will all be playing Tennis and Boxing on the Wii.TrueReligion_Yeap it is, when Easter is over, the the Wii will catch dust.
...Maybe if it came WITH the Wii... But paying $250 for a game without som2 awesome (And it would have to be awesome) add-on like a huge control panel would NEVER worth it...

Stupid post really...
When people first experience the Wii, they get blown away when they first play it. It's funny because some members in my family/ friends are convinced to buy the Wii for Wii Sports alone.TrueReligion_Yeap my bud was the same. Now he has onbe and a month later only has Wii sports and Sonic. He doesnt sound that happy to me about it. Like some Wii owners, they tell themselves how great it was and not how it is now. The funny thing he is the last person I would call a casual, but he caught the bug, I guess some of us can look past that.
Funny thing about System Wars. People don't realize that $250 isn't just the price of the technology, but rather the fact that with that $250 you can convince people that normally would have nothing to do with gaming to play with you. In the real world people pay for ideas, not just technology.iunderstandThat is totally true. I bought the Wii because of its potential. Warioware and Wii Sports, essentially, exemplify the potential of the Wii.
[QUOTE="ShmenonPie"]Wiisports is boring. so is wiigames. And for that matter, so is the Wiimote. The truth hurts.hummer700

Blasphemy! This is System Wars (a.ka. the land of Illogica, where those who type with poor grammer, LOTS OF CAPITALS AND !!!!!!!!, and who believe that the screenshot is king and that system specs is queen.
in fact, I will never buy a Wii. I was with my firend's Wii for 2 weeks and I was not impressed. its a non-gamer's system and not gamer's system.xxThyLordxx

Many gamers (me included) would disagree. But it's all opinion. I guess that all of the gamers out there who bought a Wii aren't really gamers after all, because the Wii isn't a game system.
I'm sorry that you don't like the Wii, but please use logic.

Strange.
I love Wii Sports, it's a great game, but I would never pay $250 for it. :?OhhSnap50893

Your weird then. I would use Wii sports once a week if that to play with my friends when they come over. How can people justify the wii but then say 800$ for a pc is too much money?(not directed at you)coolguy1111Well, I'm around people all day. I go to parties, friends' houses, and I'm constantly playing Wii Sports. I'm a PC gamer, so money is not an issue.
[QUOTE="Ibacai"]Well, personally I wouldn't pay more then $20 for Wii Sports. It's fun in a social environment but gets old very quickly.Maelkav
I would apply the same label to Halo 2 for the XBOX: fun in a social environment but (single player) gets old very quickly.
You could apply it to a lot of games. Just my opinion.[QUOTE="Maelkav"][QUOTE="Ibacai"]Well, personally I wouldn't pay more then $20 for Wii Sports. It's fun in a social environment but gets old very quickly.Ibacai

Well, my opinion too. Case in point, both Wii sports and Halo 2 have recieved a lot of acclaim and a lot of popularity.
