Wii still sold out & Super Mario Galaxy best game on planet, Well MS &

So here we are a year later and the Wii is still the most hard to come by, sought after piece of hardware to this day, it literally sells out hours after delivery the whole year through in every store, now doubling sales of 360 and tripling PS3 sales.

Super Mario Galaxy has been dubbed by Gamerankings.com and many other sites and mags as the highest rated game on the planet, well Sony & Microsoft boys, still think it's a cute little gimmick that will fade out before long ?

I think after recent facts and now a years time gone by it's time to admit the console winner thus far.

Things may change in favor of Sony or Microsft in the near future or they may not but right now it's time to give the devil his due.

As painful as it is to admit yet again, as before in recent history consoles have been beaten out buy a lesser priced system with inferior hardware and graphical prowess, but facts are facts.

Many people will believe SMG is better than the entire 360 library. It's all subjective and btw, the Wii has more than one decent game. A lot more actually.

I been playing Crysis and Mario Galaxy, two games that smoke any 360 game i own. When will 360 only owners realize all it is is a wannabee PC or i should say low end pc. Sorry but people who can't look past the whole Nintendo kiddy thing is missing out on one of the best overall games in the past decade. Nintendo did it smart. Xbox and PS3 are trying to be PC's which they both are a joke trying to and Ninty just said lets keep it gimmicky and gameplay. Smart business move, and i still get my hardcore gaming on the most hardcore gaming platform. PC.

P.S. Halo 3 was horrible, sure it had nice draw distance, but come on Halo 1 still is king of that trilogy. Sad that people still think Halo 3 is the game of the year. Seeing a one minute trailer of Street Fighter 4 and gameplay of StarCraft 2 > Halo 3

If this is the case, you either have been ripped off or are a noob of epic proportions (possibly even both). Anyone with even basic knowledge of computers could assemble a rig that could wipe the floor with Crysis for 2 grand+.

Yeah i just went to check craigslist upon your request and did you bother to read the ads, because just like the people posting them on ebay their all selling new Wii's for a huge profit to take advantage of the lack of availability in the stores.

Out of like 50 Wii ads on Craigslist, i think their might have been one that was actually opened and used, the rest were brand new and not being sold by people who loved the Wii who would normally refuse to part with it, on the front page i also saw a guy willing to swap his 360 for a Wii if he couldn't sell it...so try again dude

I mostly agree with you except I don't know if halo 3 is horrible since I've never got the chance to play it and about xbox360 users. They both pretty much just share all the major 360 games. The fact is, if a ultra-high end pc was the same price as a 360, most people who are into great graphics, online play, and modifications would want the pc over the 360. The only con about pc gaming is really just local gaming. If you want to play with three of your friends without using the internet, those three would also need to have computers and they would have to bring their computers over to your house for a LAN party whereas with the 360 all you need to do is just have three controllers. In reality, because the 360 is much more affordable than the greatest of PCs and because of the increasingly enormous cost that it takes to keep upgrading your PC in order to play the newest games , it has to be the best option for some people. I'm thinking about eventually getting one myself since my laptop for college just can't handle the newer games coming out for the PC (Oblivion on medium looked like crap on my laptop =( ).

Halo 3 is a great game. The 360's lineup for 07 was incredible, with many great games. Sure the PC is has many awesome titles, but many people prefer playing on big TV's with surround sound rather than a tinymonitorwith stereo sound. The 360 has the best games out of the consoles no doubt in my mind.

It's good to see the Wii selling well. I think it's attracting lots more people into the market and I am interested to see what Sony will do to get ahead. Wii selling so well is only gonna make the other 2 work harder so it just ends up great for everyone.the-very-best

Ok let's get this out of the way right now, for every 5 you find on ebay or craigslist their are game stores across the country that have 20 to 50 used 360's and PS3's in their stores and if you called them all and asked for a Wii, you'll hear the same answer over and over "sorry no used systems and were sold out of new Wii's keep checking back for our next shipment".

However not only do the game stores have plenty of 360's and PS3's but so do all the wal-marts, circuit city's, and best buys, so please give it up already because if the sales were this great for either one of the other consoles you would be using those figures to state your arguement as facts for it being the best console just like Wii are.

Believe it or not i do like all 3 consoles i just think the Wii is more innovative since the last gen as opposed to the other Sony and Microsoft consoles, and not just with the new Wii-mote but also with the way engineers have incorporated full gamecube support into the Wii, and the way developers have embraced and utilized the new control scheme.

Nintendo succeeded in making this a ultimate new gaming machine experience which included it's backwards compatibility, and it's wi-fi, its getting the online play off the ground, producing better graphics and sound then it's gamecube predecessor, all without having to turn it into a big expensive virtual hub of a hi-def movie watching, music dubbing, photo storing, web browsing box, all which have nothing to do with gaming.

Real gamers don't care about playing movies or music, or viewing pictures and downloading mp3's on their " GAME SYSTEM " we just want to play games and the Wii does that in spades and i for one could not be happier.

I don't care what these lame ass internet guys think. IMO the Wii is for kids, and so are the games. You have fun with your Mario and Xandir games, and I'll have fun with my rated M for MANLY games.JayPee89

Also, just for your information, the reason you don't see any used wii at gamestop is b/c wii is sold out everywhere, so most people would get $250+ if they sell it by themselves on craigslist or ebay. For 360 or PS3, since they're not sold out, there's no chance you'll get more than the retail value, so they sell them at gamestop.

Are you kidding, so that means its sold 24 million consoles in contrast to 360 and 18 million consoles in comaprison to the PS3.

Yes, you want to know why? Because of no games. 4 games dont warrant a system and Wii is in last position as far as software goes. And if it stays this way (Lack of games), then most certainly Wii is going downhill as far as I can see.
