Wii: To sell or not to sell....

I bought a Wii as a fan of Nintendo and as an interested person in the whole controller thing. Had good times with Zelda and Godfather. I hate Mario and never really got into Metroid. Nintendo's conference was somewhere between laughable and depressing. I mean, what the Hell -- Wii Fit? Seriously? Does no one just go to a gym anymore? Please, for the love of God or Satan (depends on your preference), don't confuse this as a Nintendo bashing thread (I've seen many lately). I watched Nintendos conference from start to finish in HD (if that matters) but maybe I missed something, are there any 'grown up' games coming out -- ever that I can research (besides Manhunt which I already know)?d_black

OMG dude sell, you can get like double on ebay right now. And get urself a ps3 or 360. Trust me, the biggest games coming out for wii are metroid, ssbb and mario. its not enough, get a true next gen gaming. Im not being a fanboy here or id tell u to go with ps3, trust me i dont care as long as u get something hd.

AND GET REAL DAMN EXERCISE, THATS WHaT i do, steroids help btw.

Trust me, the biggest games coming out for wii are metroid, ssbb and mario. its not enough, get a true next gen gaming. Sell and buy back later if they are really selling for $400 and you aren't enjoying it. By the time you get it again, there could be a price drop.

I would sell it since nothing big is out at the moment, then maybe next year or something you can buy another one if you want.

I think you already know what you want to do. And you also know that everyone on this sight are just fanboys so not like your gonna get honest answers outta anyone.

I own all 3 systems cause EVERY system has something great. If you can turn a profit sell it and get another one later when something you like comes out.

But in the end if you remove all fanboy goggles you will see that all of the big 3 offer something great.

Getting back to the main topic...I honestly think someone needs to have their head examined if they're thinking about selling their Wii becasue of a lousy E3 showing! There will be MANY good Wii games coming out this year and early next, plus I'm sure theres gonna be a lot of surprises too.

What about finding some real life friends to go to the gym with? Friends are the biggest motivating factors/help when it comes to working out. And time of day and weather are stupid excuses when gyms have a roof over head and are 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.Carmilla31

Sell - it's the safe bet.

You pretty much have 2 options and 4 out comes right now

option 1 sell your wii:

1. then decide you want a Wii again

2. never buy another Wii

option 2 keep your wii

3. Keep your system and be happy

4. Keep you system and never use it.

Honestly I see any of these 4 as being very possible. Even somebody that really knows alot about nintendo and the game industry right now really can't promise a long run of good games for the wii just as they can't say it's doomed to suck either.

With option 1 you're not really out anything since the wii will only go down in price and demand. Worst case scenereo you pay what you sold it for buying a new wii. You really can't lose unless you do something stupid.

With option 2 you might keep it and be happy, or you might regret keeping your system. I really think you'll like the wii in a year or two but I really don't know. There's also a high chance we'll see the "Wii Lite/elite" type upgrade which you'll want anyway, and it's better to sell now and buy new w/ the upgrade.

The only reason i would consider keeping it in your situation is to play SSBB. Does one game mean enough to you to keep the system?

For Smash absolutely. During college me and 3 friends would play SSBM religiously every day, only a month and a half left till I start playing Smash every night! :D I'm shocked the GC controlers that we used still work. Its a game you can pick-up and play for a few minutes or play for a few hours.

Sell. You will never get a higher return on it then you will now. Especially since it will flop in a year or two.Timstuff
