If the Wii U is the only next-gen console to support the full function of used games (unless third party publishers put restrictions on their games themselves) will it completely dominate the Next-Box and PS4?

I really hope that Sony and Microsoft go through with the "no used games" it will put them on par (in that regard) with the PC which in the end will benefit the PC
Who cares ?
It is not like anyone wants to play next gen games with lower than xbox 360 graphics on WiiU
Anyone can as easilly buy or use his xbox 360 and have better graphics and controls as well
 You can apply the EXACT same thing to people who use consoles over PC.Who cares ?

Neither do gaming PCs.No matter what, the Wii U will dominate next generation anyway. What I am worried about is not the system's marketability- Nintendo could put out a carton of sh*t on the market, and everybody would lap it upcharizard1605
if that was the case the 3ds wouldn't have had all those launch issues
Then the largest video game retailer, Gamestop, would not sell the 720 nor the PS4. Sony and Microsoft would never allow that, so their console will support used games. It's simple to figure this one out.OreoMilkshake
If people want the consoles they will just lineup outside bestbuy or the thousands of other stores that will sell their systems..

Well nintendo put out a carton of sh*t with a high price tag, which was the 3DS main problem.

You mean where it still sold four times as much as the Vita in spite of no games, missing features and overpriced tech?[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"]

Back then had no gaems so I guess it was a carton of sh*t, even if the tech was pretty nice leap from the DS

Right now? Right now it's great. It's probably my most used system. Back then, it had no games, overpriced gimmicky tech, and promised features were all missing. In many ways, such as the absence of the eShop, it was a step BACK from the DSi.Moving back to the original topic, do we know for sure that the Wii U won't block used games in some way, have games come with an online pass, or maybe require constant online connection or something equally nasty? Seeing as how there's a lot of pressure from the gaming industry on Sony and MS, can Nintendo really avoid all of this?
I'm ofc hoping that they can fly under the radar and just release a good old-fashioned console where used games can be bought and played offline, and where patches and updates can be downloaded by temporarily going online with no questions asked. But until a Nintendo exec comes out and actually promises to "Not block used games in any shape or form" I wouldn't rule anything out just yet. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
[QUOTE="ShadowDeathX"]If Sony and Microsoft put NO USED GAMES ALLOWED on their console, than I'll support the Wii U only. I'll also support both the 3DS and the Vita though.Santesyusame here, I doubt microsoft and sony would do that unless they had a good reason to convince us all It's for the safety of your information and it is key in delivering smooth justice against child pornography, and pirates in our ongoing war on terror. It may lower costs and cure things.
If so, then Wii U sales dominate the other two consoles.MercenaryMafia
Big named Publishers won't bother with WiiU then since they know they would lose alot of profits, this COULD happen not saying it will but if Sony and Microsoft dow't allow Used Games I can see Nintendo following them.
Microsoft will almost certainly stop used games working on the NextBox and Sony would only do the same if they all got drunk when making the decision. The issue is that all the Xbox fan girls and boys will still pay for the Next Box, XBL and the hundred and two add-ons that are needed for the system to function sufficiently the say it's worth it because they get all the games that the PS4 has. Thus, Xbox fanboys are more suited to the title of sheeps than even Nintendo ones.
