I think a lot has to do with the new (and hated) interface which is designed for touch-screens.

Win 8 otherwise speeds-up things a little bit and comes with DX 11.1 support. (DX 11.2 soon)

I would readily prostitute myself for more pixels, or more frames per second. Of those machines, only one stands head and shoulders above the other when it comes to 'graphics':

By the time there is any noticable improvement with DX11.2, we all will have moved on.

We will see if game devs will actually utilize those new features to a significant extent.

As far as I know, the biggest novelity DX 11.1 has is better 3D support.

But I think ron valencia will have to explain more...

Win8 is nowhere close to being as bad as WinME was.

people say they hate windows 8 but I never know why. Ive used every type of windows OS since 95 and I actually like windows 8 the most

i vote wii u because i feel bad for Nintendo. As for windows lol they all suck. Linux is for free men such as my self.

Voted PS4 because I think it will be the best out of all of them. But I am going with PS4U for my next Gen gaming. I won't make the mistake or purchasing anything from Microsoft again. And I don't do PC gaming at all.

honestly, people are just exagerrating about windows 8.  it's not terrible, it's just alright.

Windows 8 is OS , you cant compare an OS with consoles. PS4/Xb/Wii are not OSes .. PC is the word you looking for

Well half that stuff isn't out yet, but so far Wii U has 8 really good games I'm looking forward to or are out now and PS4 has 1 game I'm looking forward to in the future... The Wii U wins at this point in time, but that's because it's got a head start.

Skyrim is a DX9 game and it looks better than most DX11 games.

I will say that people are overreacting about Windows 8. I bought a new laptop a couple months ago, and it has Windows 8. The OS is easy to use and very fast. I am not sure why people are complaining so much about it.
