Wii vs. PS3.

EDIT: I personally find the PS3's library more appealing.

I say Wii only because there aren't any PS3 games that I really want.

Brawl, NMH, Galaxy and Mario Kart all look awesome to me.

I think the Wii currently has the edge on exclusives, over any current gen machine honestly.

As per library depth, the ps3 probably has a deeper line up, to me anyways.

The Wii has more AAAEs. I mean we buy gaming consoles for great games, and the Wii just have more of them at this moment in time. Also it's way cheaper.

I like the wii more.

So listing games that are already out the PS3 already beats the Wii for good games (even tho i dont think u should counthalf the wii games i listed as good) And considering that the PS3 is releasing all its major titles this year where the Wii has Mario Kart left i believe the Wii has no comparison against the Ps3. If you add the games coming out this year PS3 will at the very least double (actually triple) the Wii's good games. (MGS4, GTA4, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, FF13, LBP, Home, White Knight Story)

But i guess all in all its about preference. IMO If you want to be immersed into amazingly detailed games with great story lines then the PS3 is where its at. For games that you want to shake your arm around in and save the princess again go for the Wii.

I personally prefer my PS3's current titles. But the my Wii does have a few gems too.

Bear in mind, I'm from the UK, so we haven't received Brawl yet, it's due in June! But the PS3 will have MGS4 and GTA4 too...

Whether sheep want to accept it or not, that's kinda true but you just made it sound so black&white. The wii is actully quite more appealing to men(by men I mean..." Ok yeah this is stupid. It all depends on your taste for gaming...I see where you're going with it but the right way to put it is that the Wii is more appealing to new, casuals and non gamers. I Personally hate the wii. I find all those games it has really boring and childish...but that's just me, cause I'm more appealed to game that feature Aliens and intergalactic mercenaries and stuff...and not those"The strawberry princess has been kidnapped by the Evil Mushroom" kind of games....But that's just me!

That's true but you can't win 'em all. I also have a PC and 360 for those games. Everyone who bought a Wii knew what they were getting into.

Most people buy a Nintendo system for Nintendo games anyways and whatever other exclusives you get are bonuses.

I know but and might be off topic.. but doesn't that remove the need to own both a 360 and ps3 while still needing a pswii or 360 + wii ??

I assume people buy consoles for the exclusive games, and so far the Wii exclusives dominates over the PS3 exclusives. If it wasn't for multiplats, the PS3 wouldn't have survived this long. So like I said, people buy consoles for exclusives, and the Wii hands downs wins here. And being cheaper with quality games is just a plus.

I agree with most of what you said exept for the direct comparison, The PS3 should win becuase of the large amounts of multiplat games the Wii does not have.

PS3 43 AA and up rated games

Wii 21 AA and up games

thats a little more than double the amount of games in favor of the PS3.

This is true, but it's also misleading alot of those AA's are normal entrys into sports games. Which is fine and good, but not a great reason to own the PS3 over the Wii.

If I was a PS3 owner, I'd be sick of waiting already.

Ultimately,it all boils down to personal preference.However......

Wii AAAE = 4 (8 if you count Okami,RE4,Super Mario Bros. 3,and Paper Mario)
PS3 AAAE = 0

....That might be a big deciding factor in determining your personal preference.:P

If you want to play Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid, Mario Kart, Zelda, Smash Bros and Zack and Wiki, and your not into the whole HD thing, go Wii, Personally im not a fan of 3D mario games, 3D metroid games or zelda, and i have never really been into Smash Bros, but i love mariokart and zack and wiki looks awesome. but it looks like nothing else is on the imediate horizon for the Wii.

If you have a large HD tv, and your into shooters and 3rd person games, driving, online gaming, and you like sony exclusives, Go PS3, ignore the crap with people mentioning RE4 or Okami for the wii, that wont factor in your choice, because if your that desperate to play RE4 and Okami, buy a BC ps3 and pick them up for the PS2.

Its all going to boil down to if you enjoy Nintendos no gimics just games enviroment with the wii, if you want a multimedia entertainment hub, ps3 is pretty much unbeatable.

I like the Wii's lineup because it offers more unique experiences. Sure you have the typical solid to great Nintendo titles like:

- Super Mario Galaxy

- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

- Super Smash Bros. Brawl

- Super Paper Mario

- Mario Kart Wii

But you also get to play some offbeat unique titles like:

- No More Heroes

- Trauma Center: New Blood

- Zack and Wiki

My problem with my PS3 is that I have a 360 as well and prefer my third party games like Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on the 360 because of the controller and XBOX Live. So my PS3 mainly serves as my Blu-ray player, although there are some great exclusive games like Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank that have been fun.
