Wii will Kill Hardcore Video games

Cows and Lemmings agree with me on the fact that if the wii beats the PS3/X360 that video gamming as we know it will cese to exist...Havent we learned anything from things like Hip Hop as soon as it went commercial it has been dieing ever since.. hence as if the Wii does win this Generation we will no longer see Gears of War or Resistance or call of Duty or FF or Fable... Instead we will have garbage games like Wii sports and cooking games shoved down our throats and all of us (Hardcore gamers) will be forced to Play PC games like Crysis ( not that i wouldnt play crysis anyway) but PC will be the only legitimate Hardcore gamming..... Wii will kill Console Vidoe gaming as we know it... COWs LEMMINGS show me some support on this thread and let you voice be heard

You know whats funny??? Cows/Lemmings saying that the Wii is killing hardcore gaming!!! But there are some Cows and lemmings claiming that the Ps1 and Ps2 expanding the market just like this threadand saying that the wii isn't doing anything!!! So what am I trying to say is, which one is it??? Is the Wii Killing Hardcore gaming or is the Ps1 and Ps2 truly expanded the market which excuse is it???

Hmm, lets say that no one makes hardcore games anymore because of the Wii. There would then be a people whos gaming needs are not satisfied, while the casual gaming market would be saturated. This would make the hardcore gaming market an untapped market that developers will pounce on becuase thats where the easy money would be. The thought that hardcore games would die is rediculious.

But really, Warioware and Paper Mario they are done to death.

If people keep buying hardcore games, hardcore games will keep getting made... in fact this might help you philistine "hardcore" gamers in a way you don't expect.

Market research may show that a casual game sells well for low cost, and the only hardcore games that make the budget justifiable is a game that is really well made and gets everyone to buy it. We may end up having developers bending over backwords to make a game that's leaps and bounds beyond the standard level of quality because they're scared of poor sales.

Stupid threads should be a bannable offense in system wars.
