Nintendo's Wii is for innovative, fun gameplay. They are targetting non-gamers, casual gamers, female gamers, and gamers just looking for something different. Microsoft's 360 is for intense gameplay, high definition, and deep games. They are targetting hardcore gamers and online gamers.
They're in two totally different markets. You can't compare them because they're not the same kind of gaming machines. However, you can get Wii60 and have the best of both worlds for the same price of a single, gameless, overpriced $600 PS3. The Wii and 360 compliment each other. And the overall gaming market is reflecting that.
Yeah, I completely agree. Both consoles have games out that I want and have more games coming out. I don't have a 360 yet, because I'm waiting for a price drop, but I will get one. I can say right now that this will be my favorite generation of gaming ever, and I've been gaming since the NES generaion (although I skipped the N64/PS1 generation). PS3, on the other hand, has been unatractive to me since E3. Before then I was actually planning on getting one. But now, I'll keep my $600 and spend it on more games for my Wii60. And with each multi-platform game announced *cough*Devil May Cry 4*cough* it becomes more and more pathetic in my eyes.
I've got too much other crap to spend my money on than just a single $600 machine. As soon as I can find a Wii, i'm buying one. I'll wait for the 360's premium to drop to $300 and then my Wii60 will be complete :)
The fact that you cant get two consoles for the price of one PS3 clearly shows that PS3 is ridiculously overpriced. "Remember Sony, there are more poor people than rich people in the world."
Now that DMC4 went multiplat, it makes me wonder what other PS3 games will go multiplat. Well not really, Capcom has been known for doing this kind of thing.But if FF13 or MGS4 go multiplat, then by golly.....by golly...
