WIi60 owner here. I'm sure glad I'm not relying only on Wii.

I just got my wii last week so I'm still playing Twilight Princess.  Looking at the release dates though, there is nothing I want for a long long time to come.  I thought Nintendo was going to stop these droughts?  I see nothing but garbage coming out until fall or TBA.

This is a problem for many with a Nintendo console.  They refuse to look at anything besides a first party game.  Try something new, you'll find that some third party games are out now and are fine, and SSX Blur and Sonic are coming as well.

In case you didn't notice all the consoles have a drought until May. The lemmings only have Lost Planet and Crackflop so far. The cows are only getting VF5. The Wii has SSX Blur and Sonic: Secret Rings. The drought ends on May for all systems, though. Don't try to claim otherwise.

I look at all games.  The 360 has plenty of garbage on it as well.  I'm no fanboy and I've been gaming for 20 years so don't try your "superior knowledge" bs on me.  I know good software when I see it.

Yes.  Nothing worth 49.99.  Wario is ok but again like Wii sports its a party game.  I want games with depth and fun gameplay that I can enjoy with myself and with friends.  Oh and some freakin Online play please.

It sounds like you were drawn into the hype and were impulsed to buy one. There are tons of games you can buy and play and enjoy with your friends. Rayman RR, Super Monkey Ball BB, Madden 07 [best version], Elebits... not to mention an ever growing list of Virtual Console games. Super Mario Bros., Gunstar Heroes, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past [do yourself a favour and drop the 8 bucks for this one]... and the list goes on.

From your comments it seems that you enjoy your 360 a lot and should continue playing 360 games. There are quite a few great Wii games that you are missing out on.

I'm not saying the WIi is an impulse buy.  I know there will be software later on down the  road that I will buy.  The problem is, is it going to be 3 titles a year like the N64 or 10 titles a year?  Nintendo fanboys are often blinded by hype and buy whatever "sounds cool."  I was like that when I was a younger person and often followed fads.  I often found that I wasted my money and felt dissapointed.

My advice and dont' listen to anyone else and go with the games you want.  Don't buy whats popular or what other people seem to like.  Oh and Rent if possible.

Try Monkey Ball, or Madden (Normally I wouldn't recommend Madden but apparently the Wii one is the best to come in years).

I agree with you on all counts.  Except you should check out Truama Center, it is strangley rewarding to preform open heart surgery with the Wiimote.  I am not saying it is AAA or anything, but it held my attention longer then any other Wii game besides TP of Course.

3 titles a year? unlike the previous gens, the Wii is getting more developer support since launch not less. but of course since they jumped on board late the first batch are mostly junk.

No, they aren't always positive.  Of course a more professional site like GS isn't going to say a game "sucks", but they aren't going to just praise it, they report on the features of the game.

Well, every new console has a drought, and Wii is no exception.

However, the dought isn't that big.  SSX Blur and Sonic both come out this month, and even though March looks kind of dull for Wii April has Super Paper Mario and most likely Pokemon Battle Revolution

Nintendo could atleast release some "smart games"  say like- SUper Punchout,(even a new one for wii) Zelda: OoT, etc etc.  The greatest hits so to speak.  It's not rocket science.

Personally, I'm going to rent Mario Party 8, and if I find 3 friends who enjoy it; I'm buying it. Tiger Woods I'll probably get. Then there's Paper Mario 3 in April. The only question is whether or not Nintendo wants to put out some games for the summer time. That would seriously kick a lot of ass.

Having said that, I don't think any gamer wants JUST the Wii this generation. There's too many good games across all platforms.

Wii Sports/Wario/Mario Party 8/SSXblur/SNES Zelda/SMW/ Plenty more VC Games/I don't know if you owned Gamecube but you can get Metroid/RE4/Rouge Leader/Wind Waker/ I also have Wii60 combo and I can't be happier!
