So far, the only console that has delivered again and again and again this generation is the 360. I bought a Wii after playing Wii sports thinking, oh man, if the bundled game is this fun, I can imagine the full-blown games... Well, I'm still imagining them because they aren't there. Oh and I can't explain how in no way is warioware a 9.1, maybe 7.1 at most. Zelda is a gamecube game with Wii controls.. same for RE4.. I could care less about soccer so Strikers is out.. so whats left? Monkey Ball?

PS3 of course is even worse because not only are the games extremely few and far between, most of them are multiplatform and better on the 360. In fact I was at Blockbuster the other day and two guys were in the PS3 section and one guy said "There aint crap for this thing, I'd sell it for a Wii and an Xbox but there aren't any Wii's around here"...

I know you fanboys are going to scream about "just wait! all the good games are coming!" to which I'd have to reply, "I'm not used to waiting for good games, I have a 360."

I don't mean to knock the Wii, but if its sales are going to surpass the 360's and the devs start concentrating on it, they better build some damn good games.. I'll be pretty upset if games like Bioshock, Oblivion, Condemned, & Gears of War disappear because the devs are too busy making family-friendly Cooking Mamas and Stupid Monkey Balls.

I'm happy with my Wii. VC is keeping me busy while I wait for Metroid and Galaxy. Plus 360 has many great games this fall. My wallet will bleed this fall.

No, i'm not disappointed at all. I live in the UK and Trauma Center just came out last week so I need to get that. Then, Super Paper Mario comes out in September. After that is Metroid in October and NiGHTS in November and so on. Then for the 360 is Blue Dragon, Bioshock, Halo 3 and Mass Effect. I don't have aclue how i'm going to pay for all of these...

I'm happy with my Wii. Actually, it's my favorite of the two. I'll take Twilight Princess, RE4 Wii, SatSR, Trauma Center, and Elebits over the 360 games I've played.

I love my Wii. My 360 serves mostly as my single player console, while my Wii is the system to play when I have friends over.

Yeah, I am definitely disappointed.  I am in the same boat as you, buying the wii after playing Wii Sports.  Well, that game gets pretty old, so I thought that these other games must be pretty good for the Wii to get this hype, right?  Well, Zelda is great, but its a Gamecube game.  Paper Mario is pretty much it for compelling games right now.  All I can say is this: if it were not for metroid and Mario Galaxy, I would have sold it already.  And who knows, after I play those two, I probably will anyway.

this argument gets so damn tired now. will there still be threads like this, after the big games come out, or at the end of 2007? it there is, its only going to be for spam. if anyone keep up with the wii software, then they wont get disappointed

My decision to go Wii60 isn't paying of yet. So far the Wii has been a crushing dissapointment. Hopefully my luck will change and Ninty and the developerswill gettheir acts together.

MrEpyx

ill state it now i dont have a 360 but i have a wii and i am a huge halo fan and i hope to get one soon. But anyways on topic now i am not disapointed with my wii since it offers a new way to play much like how guitar hero for the 360. Its great for playing with friends who are not great at video games because wii sports has such a low learning curve and metroid prime looks to have great controls opposed to a controller. The 360 is bound to have better games right now since it has been out longer but both the 360 and wii best games have yet to come this year and i look forward to playing mario galaxy, metroid prime 3, halo 3, bioshock, guitar hero 3, mass effect.

Why would Wii60 owners be disappointed? We have all of the hardcore titles from Microsoft, and still get the classics and fun games from Nintendo!

  this guy is a fakeboy.  Look at his profile.  He gave Wii sports like, 1.  CoD3 (Wii) like, 1.  R:FoM about 1.   And then he gave all these 360 games 10, or very close to it.
EDIT:  here are the exact numbers, taken straight from his profile.

Star Trek: Legacy (X360)9.9Assault Heroes (X360)9.9Wii Sports (WII)1.1Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3)1.2Call of Duty 3 (WII)1.0Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas (X360)10.0Chromehounds (X360)9.7Gears of War (X360)10.0

The 360 to most didn't get a good games to a year later. The wii started off with a game people wanted. It may not have the best games but mostgames come out at the end of the year and the wii just like the 360 is getting good games. So there. Stop bashing this console.

the big 3 alone are worth the purchase of a wii for me

but really, i think wii sports is a solid pack in

and i just sold strikers and wario back (shouldve waited, 10$ extra for ps3/wii trade ins now )

i dont really expect all the killer apps within the first 6 months

and now that i own a 360 i have a real console to compare it to... and i'm still not dissapointed (rsv to hold me until bioshock next week 10$ off at circuit city, then mp3 week after.. do i need to be impatient?)

I will actually challenge that one.  The good to great 360 launch games included CoD2, PGR3, Kameo, Condemned, and Amped 3.  And the following spring we got Oblivion, GRAW, and Fight Night.  In the summer we got Dead Rising, Prey, and Saints Row.  Thats a very solid assortment of AA and AAA games.

personally speaking.. i wouldnt have tried none of these games, there boring IMO. super paper mario, atleast give resident evil 4 a try, since its 30 beans, then you should give metroid prime 3 corruption a try. i mean these are games that takes advantage of the wii. try to avoid the mini game type games.

Oh I love RE4, but I have already played it for the PS2 and GC.  I don't want it a third time.  But yeah, when Metroid comes out, that changes a lot hopefully.

I have a 360 and my brother has a Wii and I can tell you my brother plays the 360 more. There are no games on the Wii that interest me. After playing Wii Sports for about a day, I never bothered with it ever again. The funny thing is I actually supported Nintendo before this generation, but not anymore. I have a strong feeling that by the end of this year, the 360 will still have its lead over the Wii.

not to be picky, but the only good game on that list IMO was kameo, which came out at launch.. Oblivion which came out a little later in the year. dead rising came out in the summer, which is right around the time of metroid prime 3 corruption. if you look at it, the wii is basically following xbox 360 trend of good games. so its basically unfair for anyone to say that the wii has no good games, when its following exactly what the xbox 360 is going. this argument is really going to get stale at the end of 2007.

I don't have a Wii but I would probably be disappointed if I got one because of the lack of games at the time. But I would keep it for SMG, SSBB, MP3.

I am a little dissappointed with the Wii. So far, the games that we can play with the Wii have very imprecise controls, and most of the ones that take full advantage of the Wii's controls are minigames (excluding Trauma Center, that looks cool). And while I'm waiting for the Nintendo Big 3 to come out, I'm really wondering how long it's going to take for 3rd party developers to take the Wii seriously and make some good games for it. I don't want another Dreamcast situation.

I could care less about soccer so Strikers is out.. MrEpyx

I'm not disappointed with the Wii, but I wanted to point out something about the quoted part of your post. I hate soccer, my least favorite sport ever, but I still really enjoy Strikers. It's almostnothing like real soccer. A lot more exciting, and an overall really fun game. Much better than any soccer sim game, for sure. Plus you can play it online. ;)

I don't know if I'm necessarily disappointed, but I do wish there was more to play on it. VC is all well and good, but I'm looking for games I haven't already played. All I have is Zelda and mini-game compilations.

truthfully im more disappointed with the 360.When I first got it I thought it was the greates thing ever with the graphics and online...but that got old quick :(.Most of its games get boring after a while...the only thing 360 has going for is online IMHO and I don't play it enough so im not willing to pay for it. I actually wish I would have gotten PS3 with my Wii

I hope you are right and that the Wii really delivers, because I do love some of the First Party games.  I swear, if I can get Wave Race, Star Fox, PilotWings, F-Zero, and some exciting originals, I will be pretty happy.

Would you like pics of my setup?

Just for the record, I don't hate the Wii, I just would have waited till it dropped to $199 or less before I bought it because maybe by then some good games that had depth to them would be available.

Telling me "just wait for Super Mario Galaxy & Metroid Prime 3" is proof that its disappointing NOW. Some of you Wii owners sound like PS3 fanboys with your "just you wait until XYZ comes out!" banter!
