Looks like the price will be 70 bucks and it will be released on the first day of the year. That's a rather strange day to release a game if you ask me but what do I know. 70 dollars is pretty steep. Anyone changed their mind about getting this based on the price? I know I'm going to get it.

has any exercise game ever done well? this may sell in japan because anything wii is teh **** there, but i can't imagine that many people buying it especially at that price/.

btw ddr is not an exercise game, it's a dance game. wiifit on the other hand is for getting fit. also, no one wants to do hula hooping. finally, i really doubt you can get toned muscles or lose substantial weight from this game.0

I am still not sure. I was actually expecting it to be more expensive. It is quite an impressive piece of technology. I mean, it makes YOU into a giant analog stick. Genius.

Don't think so, but just because games of this type haven't done well before doesn't mean it can't in the future. For one, none of them were made by a developer as large as Nintendo and with this much exposure.

So they are releasing it on the first day of the year to catch the fitness boom that happens every January. They are also releasing it right after Christmas so people will return tons of gifts in exchange for this. (Because that Tuesday after Christmas has actually turned into a big DVD/Music release date. Our industry is no different.)

And it's $10 too much. $70 is kind of high.

The most common New Years Resolution is to lose weight. All it will take is a little ad work from Nintendo, some positive mainstream press, and before you know it, gyms nation-wide will be signing up for this. It could be HUGE for Nintendo, but you - the hardcore - just don't see that!

I'm getting Wii Fit for sure. 70 bucks seems like a fair price, I would have expected 60 for it but the game does intrigue me.

As someone from the UK $70 seems a little steep. I'm more than likely going to get it when it comes here(Provided it retails at the right price).

To add...

I'd gladly spend £250+ for this. Slightly more workout too. the game owns to boot.

I'll save you $70. Every 30 mins just get up from playing games walk to your mail box and back and I guarentee you will lose more weight than Wii Fit will ever help you lose..and by more I mean no weight at all.

Um, maybe Nintendo fans care because they want Nintendo to do well so they can continue making games?

If the Wii can offer the same type of workout as fitness videos or a personal trainer, then does it matter what format it's in?

People seem to not realize you can do as much physical activity as you want, but if you still eat like crap you aren't going to lose any weight.

I can imagine it now, well I worked out on my Wiifit today so I think I'll go ahead and get a second Big Mac.

Exactly, I was just saying how dumb our society is. People do eat worse after doing a little bit of working out and wonder why they aren't losing weight and then give up all together.

And I was just responding to everyone thinking they will buy the WiiFit do some exercise and expect to start dropping pounds. Its not going to happen.

Point taken. Agree with that.
