Well I don't really know if any children are really interested in Wiifit. I'm almost 30 and I have a beer belly and like videogames, so I am interested. I just can't imagine being 8-12 and thinking "boy I can't wait to get that new exercise game!"DaBrainz

Exactly, but I am younger then 30 and have about the oppsite of a beer belly:P. But I don't think kids are really interested if anything parents will try and get their kids to play it.

BTW: Mario should not become more mature!!! Series should never drop an aspect of a game that its known for only add more (unless its bad on all fronts ex: repeditiveness)

What a stupid article. Kids aren't going to be emotionally scarred if they score low in a fitness game. Nor was my daughter when she ranked like eighty years old in Wii sports workout. chefstubbies

Admittedly, most of these problems (low self esteem, daily hazards, health issues, courtesy) could be solved by my ACTUALLY being involved in my child's life, but... I'm terribly busy.

ffs its bloody pathetic I know in certain schools throughout Britain Kids in the athletics competion don't get a gold silver bronze e.t.c because its might hurt other childrens feelings and also red pens aren't used on some school home work cause of the same reason....

Kids are getting more protected.... Children should be taught to take the knocks and learn to deal with them....

Considering that children are too young to build any muscles yet (especially girls) I dont see why Wii fit would be wrong..

Sure it might be harsh, but if it is adjusted too children aswell then it is definitly correct.

If they're overweight they need Wii fit. If they go through their whole childhood not doing anything about they're weight, I garantee that'll be more damaging.

Also, Wii Fit is not aimed at Kids... stupid parents.

When I was a kid If I didn't win the teacher or famaily member would give some words advice... which are basically keep trying... try harder train harder

Some people aren't naturally amazing at Footy, Running, Swimming... they need to work at and most of the times hard work pays off

BMI's based on height are always iffy. If you are like 6 foot you should be around175-190 for a healthy range. But many athletes are great shape and way 250 at 6 feet.wooooode

Athletes are not kids.. Children cant build muscles (Some use Steroids I guess, but they probably wont use Wii fit ). The system should work just fine for people below 14 or 15.

The damage control for this game is so rediculous... I can't see why people can't just admit that an excercise game is a cool idea and then freaking move on. If you don't want to play it, its your choice, but I dont see why people have to go out of their way to flame Wiifit.

If you got to any online weight calculator you learn this my father was 6'7'" and he weighed 300lbs by that every doctor and online caculator would consider him morbidly obeese yet this is not the case.

Weight to height ratios are insane in america, someone 6'0" is supposed to weight 150lbs to be considered normal weight...lol
