I wish the Wii Mote didn't have the Nunchak attachment (the wire part).  I wish it was blutooth or something.  I know it works fine and all, but i just wish it wasn't held together by that wire.  =/

hopefully they will make a newer version or a 3rd party can make a new one without the wire =)

A wireless Nunchuk would just kill the battery even more than the wired one.  It doesn't bother me.

Oh, god no. 3 very simple reasons: 1- Flying Wiimotes. Now you want flying nunchucks? ?? 2- Battery. I don't want it do just die out. 3- keep it lite, please.

I don't really care because when I play Wii games I look at the TV screen rather than the cord attaching the nunchuck to the wiimote.

less wires = more weight = more batteries = more cost

It is fine the way it is.

The wire between the wiimote and nunchuk keeps it from being a truly wireless experience, plain and simple. Why do you think Xbox fans are willing to pay $60 for a wireless Xbox 360 headset? Because there's still a little wire dangling around and brushing against you. Wireless nunchuck would need to have a wrist strap, obviously. That's an unfortunate thing about Wii's desing in general though, because I personally get annoyed by wrist straps a lot of the time (even though I use on with my PSP and my bro's DS).

I hate the wrist strap too. What kind of idiot throws their wiimote across the room unless thei having a drinking party with their wii?

BUT, I find normal game pads (like the 360's but other normal ones as well) even more chained together than the wiimote nunchuck combo. Why? Because normal game pads essetially have your hands cuffed togeter by holding both sides of the controller. Having each hand free (even if teathred) is nice and very comfy with the wii games that are low on motion, like zelda.

It isn't really fair to use the 360 controller as an example though, because it does not use motion sensing to begin with...and it fits in your hand so well. But, the SIXAXIS is a prime example of why you need each hand free to make good use of motion sensing.

I don't care how it looks but I do find that cord to be a pain in the ass.

Im looking at it now, and although it is a bit uneasy on the eyes, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. I would rather have it there than not

Im sorry but saying that the wiimote being completely wireless would bring up the weight of the controller is completely false. Bluetooth weighs nothing at all. the controller is already expensive, so i don't see the price going up any higher. also, i never said the wiimote design is ugly, just the wires. Wii straps are for gorillas (or DKs) who can't handle holding on to a controller like a normal human being. Nintendo agrees with me on that.....

Exactly, why would you look at the wires when tyou are playing the games? If the wire annoys you when you are not playing, out in in alocker or something. If nothing above helps, sell it to me, I have tried to find a Wii for 3 months now. They are just nowhere to be found.

I didnt know that you could get good quality AA batteries that weight near to nothing? most ofl the weight in the wii mote is from the AA's Their is a rumour that their is a wireless nuchuck in the making but i dont think it will be called a nuchuck. the only reason i want wireless nuchuck is from getting wiped by the wire when playing some games

....maybe... or maybe i just think the Wii design is the best of all the systems and don't like how the flawless design is ruined by the dangling wire. Not that its a pain to play, im merely speaking from an artistic point of view. =) Kinda like how i love the look of the F430 Ferrari, but then they put some stupid rice rocket Spoiler in the back. =/ ya know?

Really? How would you power the nunchak part in that case? Bluetooth may not weigh much, but batteries will.

well, you could use bluetooth technology (which is cheap) and virtually eliminate the need for heavy batteries.  You could have a small cell phone battery power the wii mote and a blue tooth battery to power the analog controller.

also, this would be better for the consumer since you could just recharge it every so often and not buy batteries here and there.
cell phones do this, The DS does this, and so does the PS3 controller, along with Newer TV remotes.  Why can't the Wii mote?
