The wiiU may be based off of this graphics card for it's GPU.From what I heard this graphics card is a pretty impressive graphics card.

More tech specs based off of last years dev kit have released.

Impossible, it was confirmed to be based on the 4XXX series I thought ( Which can be faster then 66XX if its the high end Chips)

It was never officially confirmed and it won't be until a dev tells us or until someone gets a Wii-U to tear down. That was just the rumor we all went with.

Similar to desktop Radeon HD 6670 (renamed to 7670) but with lower clock speed.

Radeon E6760 has 576 GFLOPs while Radeon HD 6670 has 768 GFLOPs.

Compared to Radeon HD 4xx0, 6670 has a better GpGPU support. 6670 has improved front end (e.g. similar to AMD Bart's) and backend units (e.g. split color ROPs and Z-ROPs design).

I'm only concerned with the number of Gflops it has. Samaritan required 2.5 teraflops for 1080p, but this thing only has .5 teraflops. It takes roughly 1 teraflop for 720p Samaritan. If we're not getting even that, then I'm extremely disappointed by next-gen.

For "Radeon HDs, it's 20, 30, 50, 70, 90. It almost follows BMW's number scheme.

No they're not

The 360 was sitting on pretty close to top of the line hardware at its release, and the PS3's not really any worse or better(just a year later) once you factor in the use of the Cell with the GPU.

Good for a Nintendo console, but not consistent with previous generations' increase.

Hardly. The card I got in 2008 was better than it, and I've already replaced it with something a lot better last year.

Ninty is looking for a cheap, powerful and heat efficient GPU/CPU this time.So I doubt they will go with a terrible GPU/CPU.The GPU talked aboiut in the OP fits that requirement.

Well that is pretty nice actually. Hope it is true. :)

And who cares if consoles get weak hardware....Consoles should get the best hardware a very cheap budget can get.

Want;

Tradtional form of gaming + powerful = Get a PC.

New ways to play games + budget priced hardware = Get a Console.

If one does not replace the other, then it is good for both PC and Console markets.

Both of which sold at really high prices at launch and sold for notable losses for years. Wii U won't be doing that, and I'll be shocked if PS4 or Xbox 720 do.

Just as I expected. If true, the Wii U should be able to handle next-gen engines (such as Unreal Engine 4) without any sacrifices.

There will be sacrifices, but games will still probably be able to be ported to the console.

while it doesn't make much sense for a pc gamer to use something so low end it makes perfect sense to use something low end so we don't end up with rrod, and we get dx11 and great features like that. PC games virtually never use all of our hardware in playing games and considering that is a more common occurance with a console as far as I'm conscerned the generation of the gpu is almost as important as the specific card being high end.

Also I want to point out that if this is true it would make sense when we saw all the rumors that said wii u will be 5x faster than a 360 and new xbox 6x

360 and PS3 were expensive and sold for a loss. I don't think we will see that next gen unless MS uses the subscription model they are doing now for the 360 ($99), but for a higher price.
