Aw I thought Black was coming out again or something. :( Shame. Anyways yeah that's dumb, they realize they can sell the game at the same price with less sh*t and then they're baffled as to why games didn't sell.

Seems they don't think that the wii-u is important enough to deliver full games

Is this one of those shoot em up games like Call of Duty Chris?? Nintendo doesnt really have the community for those sort of games.

i get that the wii u is hopelessly weaker than the xbox one and the ps4, but it is just pathetic it gets lackluster, inferior ports compared to the ps3 and 360. It really is as if devs WANT the wii u copies to fail. Sure, they most likely wouldn't sell well on the system anyways, but this kind of treatment sorta guarantees it.

Sucks, but least the co-op is still there via online, unlike say Arkham Origins.

OP here is the updated link.

Also, while it won't have offline co-op, the Wii U version is the only one to have gamepad integration and Off-TV play.

From the interview in link:

NL: Weve seen details of various Wii U-specific features utilising the GamePad, can you outline the key examples for us?

LJ: The GamePad screen is your version of Sams arm computer or OPSAT (OPerational SATellite uplink). Sam uses his OPSAT a lot throughout the game to access and control his gadgets and to communicate with his team. The Wii U is the only version of the game where you really get to experience first-hand how OPSAT works for Sam and how it feels to actually operate it: you can see through Sams eyes and its a very powerful feeling to choose how to use this gadget to make decisions as the leader of 4th Echelon.

NL: Is Off-TV play supported?

LJ: Yes, Off TV play is fully supported for everything, except offline coop play.

And here I thought getting the same amount of content in a game across all versions, or at least entire methods of gameplay, would be attractive for consumers

Wasn't the "dual screens" co-op supposed to be a big selling point of the WIi-U?

Was mildly interestd.....now not at all. Serously, devs cant cut features and expect the game to sell. When it performs like shit (sales wise) dont blame us, blame the fact we would rather buy it for all the features and play it on a console most of us alredy own.

well they said they were having technical issues with it and instead of delaying the Wii-U version just to work on it some more they just are going to not include it.

you learn something new everyday, I thought they all had it. Interesting. I think people are going to be put off that it's missing a feature like that then having those features.

Man, the Wii-U is just getting boned left and right. It's pretty pathetic when developers won't event take the time to make a comparable multiplat on a technically superior platform.

The first party from the both of them doesn't get my attention as much. True, Sony has more interesting IP's (a few of which I wouldn't mind playing) than MS does (even though I like playing on the XBOX 360), but Nintendo just has a lot more appeal on my end. That's not to say that I don't want third party support on Nintendo consoles, and believe me I do (even own quite a few third party games on their systems).

Shockingly that's not true. Not all WiiU games support Off TV Gameplay and the Gamepad integration has been maps and inventory for the most part. Only a few games somewhat use the gamepad's potential.

It seems like every multiplat game that graces wii-u is either technically inferior to its 360/ps3 counterparts, missing features/modes, or a combination of the two. Truly a terrible console that needs to be terminated with extreme prejudice.

I hope that the gamepad's potential ends up being more than existing functionality being tacked onto a second screen that forces players to look away from the game.

if you actually go through the thread I already acknowledge my error. Though sony is making sure all ps4 games have vita remote play. Kind of funny that not all games have off-play on the Wii-U.

The other odd part about it is, there's no simple way to switch to off tv play like they were showing during the conference. People had to clamor around and figure out how to get into off tv play so most devs just started putting it into the options menu. A simple solution would have been a button that would switch the game from the tv to off tv and the way they did it in Mario Bros U on the video doesn't work for most games. You can't usually switch to off tv while you're already in game.

I like the WiiU and it has potential but I think Nintendo rushed it out (Only ONE gamepad can be used with the system at a time as of now - They should have released it with at least 2 gamepad simultaneously capable of streaming) just like I think they are rushing Smash Bros U.

I really don't understand why anyone, besides hardcore nintendo fans, even give Wii U the time of day. The thing has been a failure since day 1 it seems. Nintendo is looking like Sega right before the PS2 and Xbox original is about to come out.

No one is gonna buy it for the Wii U anyways but Ubisoft is not helping the Wii U out doing this. At this point I don't know why they will bother putting it on the Wii U anyways.

I didn't even know it had offline co-op on any version. Oh well, getting PC version first like always. (Will that have offline co-op? PC tends to get shafted on that feature.)

That is messed up for people who bought a WiiU. Local online co-op in these type of games are a blast to play. You and a mate shooting and sneaking around to complete objectives is very thrilling. Glad I have the PS3 version reserved.

Chris_Williams

While sure this is a shame I guess, personally I don't care about offline co-op for this kind of game.

It's not a feature I don't think I would ever use, and conversly I'm willing to bet that neither would almost every other person in here (including you TC) who is complaining about it. It's pitiful and embarrassing to see so many gamers go out of their way to find complaints about things in gaming that they don't like. Instead of making threads about the things you (gasp!)...LIKE...You waste countless threads talking about the things you don't like. Trying to...hell I don't know..."recruit" people to your side? Which might I remind you is the side of negativity. That's a shitty side to be a part of.

Okay, back on topic after my impromptu /rant: While it would be nice to have this feature as it exists in other versions and obviously some people would inevitibly use it, I'm going to agree with what some other people in here have been saying. The addition and use of the gamepad functionality and Miiverse integration for me more than makes up for the lack of a mode I and likely most gamers would not use very often. The user-to-game interface experience to me is vastly more valuable than almost anything else in a lot of games. So that's why the Wii U version will be the one I get over other consoles (including the final two next gen systems when they release). I haven't been excited about a Splinter Cell game since Chaos Theory so I'm really hoping this delivers!

This also happened on the Wii, and on the GC even. It's one of the many many reasons why Nintendo should never focus on third party support. Third party tends to be oppertunistic, unreliable. If they want to support it, they'll support. But it's best to assume that they won't.
