With that display on the controller i guess we have to play with wired charge-cable almost all the time? If they even have that option to do so, or do we have to change batteries every 2-3hrs?
This must be the most worse controller ever :cry:

No source but this problem just hit me today, with the direction 3DS/Vita goes with battery time i am worried. I just hope Nintendo at least add charge cable cuz i dont want change batteries...
But same time it will feel bad they say it is wireless when you must play with charge cable plugged in most the time tho...
It has a 6 inch 1080p screen and youll be using it in the same room as the console. Are people really getting pissed over this?

Yes i will be pissed depending how they do it, i rly hated how they did it with Wii remote, if i have to change batteries every 2-4hrs i will be pissed for sure.

They've already said u can charge while playing, so it doesn't really make that much difference, on topic tho....... it's not a portable handheld, so who cares?
I play with my controller plugged in whenever possible. I hate lag and I hate batteries, plus I'm never more than 6-8 feet from my consoles anyway. I go out of my way to buy wired controllers when the option is available.famicommanderThats great for you but what about the rest of us who prefer wireless controllers I used to only buy wired but after getting a wireless controller can't go back to being stuck with a wire.

Oh well then, that is good, hope they come with a wired version of the controller to cuz i see no point with wireless only half the gaming time.
I have not followed every news of this console and this was only big question i had:P
The screen is not 1080p only 480p and almost every game shown was running at 720p on the wiiu it self and only like or two games where actually being rendered at 1080p native.It has a 6 inch 1080p screen and youll be using it in the same room as the console. same here..wireless is NOT for gaming be it controllers OR wifi.
Of course there is. It's not being marketed as a wired device, so the fact that you can use it as one to bypass terrible battery life is moot. Some of you play in your room a few feet from your monitor/tv, so no big deal. Others put their consoles In their family/game rooms and sit further away. And it's a motion controller, designed to be played with other people on motion controllers moving around in the room. Not a wire friendly environment. And that's ignoring all the functionality that seems absurd or impossible with it wired. Remote play, socializing, web browsing, no go.TV remote? Sorry, it needs to charge, or do you want a wired TV remote? How about a few months down the road, when the battery no longer can hold a full charge? This was a really dumb place to cheap out, almost immediately noticeable and adversely affecting a new buyer's experience within a day of purchase. I'd imagine Nintendo will boost battery life down the road, but it's a real shame for the early adopters. Even a replaceable battery could've mitigated many issues.It's already been confirmed multiple times that the controller has a rechargable battery similar to the 3DS and that it can be charged while playing, therefore no reason for concern

Wait are implying that its needs to be plugged into the console and not a regular wall socket to charge?It's already been confirmed multiple times that the controller has a rechargable battery similar to the 3DS and that it can be charged while playing, therefore no reason for concern

[QUOTE="aroxx_ab"][QUOTE="DaBrainz"]Its not meant to be a portable. I dont see a problem.DaBrainz
The problem is that it is "wireless" but it require to much power to be wireless
Don't all wireless devices need recharged? Heck my laptop will only go 2.5 hours if I'm gaming.Yes, but for a controller 2-4hrs is not that long, compare that to like ps3/360 controllers. Yeah sure they dont have a display but they not need to because...they are just gamepads.

I think you're confusing wireless data with wireless power. I have not seen anything to indicate that it needs to be pluged into the console at any time. Have you seen otherwise?[QUOTE="aroxx_ab"][QUOTE="DaBrainz"] Don't all wireless devices need recharged? Heck my laptop will only go 2.5 hours if I'm gaming. DaBrainz
